    Some of these activities might even prove useful in your daily lives. From making your own face masks to starting an indoor garden, read on for more enriching activities to embark on!

    1. Make a DIY terrarium

    While most of us are working from home these days, adding a little greenery to your workspace will definitely help create a more conducive work environment due its calming properties, not to mention that it's nice to look at too!

    Surgical and disposable masks should be left for our frontline and healthcare workers to use. By up-cycling our old clothes, we can stay safe and look fashionable at the same time!

    7. Creating beautiful origami

    Cheap, relaxing, and beautiful when done well, the art of origami or paper folding is one form of craft where you can really appreciate the fruits of your labour! All you need is a little patience and practice to make your very own piece of art.

    8. Building a DIY zen garden

    First, it was Mcdonalds and now bubble tea, it’s truly tough times we’re living in now! Non-essential service jokes aside, with its therapeutic properties, the simple act of building your own zen garden is a great way to calm your mind during these trying times.

    With easily attainable materials and being a great display to have in your house when done, this is one activity that could keep you occupied for hours on end! Not to mention, being a big hit with children too.

    9 Start an indoor garden

    Video by: Blossom With a single trip to the market, some containers, soil, water, and a whole lot of tender loving care, you can grow your own indoor home garden too! From spring onions to strawberries, grow your own supply of fruits and vegetables to last you till the end of the circuit breaker.

    10. Throw an indoor picnic

    Whip up a feast in the kitchen, dress up your living room, and enjoy a weekend picnic in your living room! Recreate your favourite dishes or try making some that you would not be able to enjoy for a while (we’re looking at you bubble tea).

    This circuit breaker period is the best time for you to pick up or hone your skills at doing nail art. Even if your designs don’t turn out that well, no one besides your family would be able to see them for a while. Guys, you may want to pick this up too, impress bae when you finally get to see her with your new-found skill!

    If you’ve always envied your friends with good handwriting, this is the perfect time to work on your own, with calligraphy! This soothing and visually pleasing art form is a good way to end a long day of working from home. Not to mention calming ASMR sounds you get by using certain pens.

    Does it spark Joy? Being at home more often now, you may notice that there might be a lot of things that you don’t really need in your room. Besides taking up space, it might also be affecting your productivity while you work. Take a weekend to re-organise your room and make Marie Kondo proud!
