Similan Islands Full Day Tour by Catamaran or Speed Boat

The Similan Islands tour was a major highlight of my Phuket trip. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly well-supported and safe throughout the entire journey. The day was seamless, starting with a punctual pickup and a light breakfast. The catamaran was well-equipped with unlimited refreshments, and the onboard CCTV provided peace of mind for my belongings while I was in the water. As a nervous first-time snorkeler, I can’t thank the guide enough. He was patient and attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable enough to enjoy two separate snorkeling sessions. The itinerary was perfectly paced—I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to sunbathe and explore the stunning islands. The food was another bonus, with both a buffet lunch and a dinner provided. This tour is organized, beginner-friendly, and perfect for solo travelers. Highly recommended!

The tour was excellent, everything was very well organized. We were fed three times, and water and Pepsi were provided throughout the trip. The scenery is beautiful, very similar to the Maldives (beaches, vegetation, water, fish). Unfortunately, we didn't see any turtles, but we did see a monitor lizard twice. I highly recommend visiting.

The staff were all very kind, and with three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) included, plus hotel transfers, it was an excellent tour overall! We went on April 28, 2026, and although we were worried about the weather, it turned out to be a perfect day with clear skies! The pristine white sand beaches and beautiful clear water were truly breathtaking. I highly recommend the Similan Islands! Please note that since we departed from a hotel in Old Town, we left around 6:40 AM and returned to the hotel around 8:30 PM, so it was an all-day trip. We were very satisfied with the tour!

It was such a great experience! After visiting the infamous Phi Phi and other islands, we’ve decided Similan was the best. Beautiful white sand beach, not too crowded. Out of 3 snorkeling trips we’ve done with different tours, Fantastic Similan is top notch. On arrival, they gave us full kit, snorkeling mask, clean beach towel (1 for every person). You really can come unprepared to join this trip, but I recommend at least bring your own stuff like meds and sunscreen. They served us full breakfast and dinner buffet before and after the trip, coffee, snacks, cake, everything. The pier is also very nice you really can hang out there. Our tour guide, Nina or Lina, was also fun and engaging. The crew provided us with chews, snacks and drinks along the way. We did 45 mins snorkeling in 2 spots which was fulfilling. The weather was nice, water’s clear, lunch was also great. Similan trip is a must-do when visiting Thailand, but choose speed catamaran for easier ride on the ocean.

If you’re in Phuket, this tour is a must. The Similan Islands look like Hawaii or the Seychelles — powdery white sand and unreal turquoise water. Everything was perfectly organized, from hotel pick-up to check-in and the boat trip itself. The team works incredibly hard to keep everything smooth and on time, which makes the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. We also did the James Bond Island and Maya Bay tours, but this one was the highlight. Please remember to tip the staff — they truly deserve it. Sadly, only a few people tipped on our boat, and some gave less than 50 THB for three people. Considering the effort and long day they put in, that felt unfair. A fair amount is at least 100 THB per person. Huge thanks to our amazing tour leader Lio (hope I got the name right!) and the fantastic crew on Boat #1 for an unforgettable day!

It’s ideal for solo travelers, couples, or even families. I left the day with great memories, beautiful photos, and a better understanding of the local culture. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a well-organized, enjoyable way to explore the area in just one day.

Absolutely unforgettable day at the Similan Islands!🏝️ This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. The Similan Islands are truly breathtaking, crystal-clear turquoise water, soft white sand, and stunning views in every direction. It honestly felt like being in a postcard. 🏝️🏖️🌊☀️ The organization of the trip was excellent from start to finish. Transfers were smooth and well coordinated, the boat was comfortable, and the schedule was well planned so we could enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. The snorkeling spots were beautiful, with clear visibility and lots of marine life. Our guide and crew were friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the day, always making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Food and drinks were provided and were better than expected for a day tour. They offered us more free drinks than there is water in the ocean!!😅 Overall, this was a perfect day trip and absolutely worth the money.

Since I joined from a hotel in Khao Lak, the hotel pickup was at a leisurely 8:50 AM. The tour was very well scheduled, and I was able to efficiently see various highlights. The guide was also kind and cheerful, so I had a very good time. Also, every sea was beautiful, and if you come to Khao Lak, you should definitely go there at least once.

I recently took a day trip to the Similan Islands, and overall, it was a great experience that I highly recommend! However, the scenery was even more beautiful than I expected, which was a delightful surprise during the trip. Our tour guide was also a huge plus; they were excellent at creating a lively atmosphere, keeping everyone engaged throughout the journey, and ensuring no awkward silences. They also paid attention to everyone's needs, making the experience very relaxing. Even for someone new to this type of boat excursion, there was no feeling of nervousness or boredom. Overall, this day trip offers good value for money, providing a relaxed yet fulfilling experience. If you have limited time but want to see beautiful ocean views and try snorkeling, this itinerary is an excellent choice.
