What to expect
Get ready to be picked up at 01.00 AM by our driver and professional guide who will take you to Sukapura (Bromo area in Probolinggo). After departing from Probolinggo area, you will reach the destination in approximately 1 hour. Then, we will continue the trip by Jeep (4 WD) to enjoy the bumpy road towards Mt. Penanjakan which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 45 minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mount in Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit Kingdom history. Next, you can enjoy the breakfast at restaurant. After finishing breakfast, the guide will lead you to next destination that is Madakaripura Waterfall. There, you will find a natural 200m height waterfall with many spots relaxing your eyesight and return to Probolinggo.

The trip was very good, although you have to have a clear idea that it is going to be a night without sleep and enduring the cold, but with the view it is worth it. I have spent an unforgettable day of my life, at least so far, or it may be for many years to come. We have been lucky to find a good day without rain or fog in the monsoon season. We also have a guide called ONI, he is a very good, charming and professional guy, he has shown us the best place in Bromo to take photos, being TOP1 in Bromo. And it helped us a lot too. The other part of the trip, the waterfall trip, has also been amazing. You have to walk a lot but very few people and you take a cool photo. Recommendable!
