the best experience I have hands down. this is a must see especially the gardens. the beauty it provides is out of this world.
It's incredibly convenient to enter directly using the e-voucher purchased on the platform! There's no need to exchange tickets on-site or schedule an entry time on a website; you just select the date when you make your purchase (which is very helpful for those whose arrival time is unpredictable)! Although I went on a Sunday, it wasn't very crowded. Even though it requires a transfer and a bus ride from Paris, it's very accessible!
extremely beautiful chateau, not a lot of people when we went so it was perfect! did not get an audio guide, but there were texts in english that give enough context. it's a bit confusing to go to since we came from paris, but just ask around the trains/busses and you will reach the place!
The number of visitors is much smaller than that of Versailles, so the quality is better and there are many Napoleon things. I recommend walking directly from the train station through the forest to the castle. The castle cafe is a bit expensive, so you can eat in the town.
It is very elegant, and you can thoroughly feel the atmosphere of the palace. It is worth cruising slowly and carefully appreciating the beauty of the exquisite carvings everywhere. Unfortunately, it was too windy and cold, so I did not explore the garden part. It is listed on the list of attractions to visit again in the future.

The place is large, so reserve about two or three hours to go. There are far fewer people than Versailles, allowing more time for conversation. I recommend coming here instead of going to Versailles.
