When you visit the castle, the first thing that catches your eye is the bright white exterior of the castle tower. In particular, the materials on the Aizu War during the Boshin War and the exhibits of weapons and armor from the Sengoku period are worth seeing. In addition, the beautiful moat and castle walls surrounding the castle give it a historic atmosphere. A vast park spreads out on the south side of the castle, and it is crowded with many cherry blossom viewers during the cherry blossom season. What I felt through the visit was the deep history of Tsuruga Castle and the efforts made to restore it. It seemed as if the power of the Aizu clan and the story of the people who continued to resist the waves of modernization were alive within the castle. By understanding the historical background, it was a place where you could re-recognize its value as a part of history, rather than just a tourist spot.

I visited Osaka Castle in April, and compared to that, Aizuwakamatsu Castle seems miniature and compact. However, it's much less crowded, and there's air conditioning, making it easy to explore. The gardens are also a great spot for taking photos.

It is easy to use, just open the link on your mobile phone and give it to the staff to pick up the ticket. This is a well-preserved castle. The castle tower has a lot of information and you can also visit the teahouse. There weren't too many people, so it was a comfortable place to stroll around. There are enough parking spaces in the parking lot.

It is much more convenient to buy in Kelu. After receiving the voucher, click on the URL and show it to the clerk. You can enter directly without going to the ticket office. You can also go to the tea room.

It takes about half an hour to walk from Nanakamachi Station. I walked directly from the hotel. The scenery is beautiful. There are some small shops outside where you can stop by.
