Really well organized tour. Contact with the guide via WhatsApp. Our tour guide was Gina. She explained everything really well, spoke very good English and was funny. On the way there we had hodu-gwaja (walnut cookies) at a rest stop. The DMZ is a unique experience. Afterwards on the way back we stopped for lunch with a bibimbap.
The tour was a true once-in-a-lifetime experience! We thorougly enjoyed Gina's expertise and insightful knowledge. She really went above and beyond to make things happen! We felt truly privileged to be on a tour with Gina.
Highly recommend going to the DMZ on this fabulous tour to Cheorwon, which is much further north than other tours go, but well worth the extra time and was way less crowded, and gives you an insight into the struggle for peace and reunification. Great value (all day tour with lunch included). I loved the scenery on the drive, hardly anyone around at any of the stops, no queues, and great tour guide explanations along the way. Easy booking and pickup, lovely 2.5 hour drive to Cheorwon (a great break from all the walking in Seoul!), and excellent viewing at the 2nd tunnel, Peace Observatory with the monorail trip and observation tower where we could see the North Korean soldiers at the fort moving about, Woljeong-ri train Station and the traditional houses at the Cheorwon History & Culture Park - really interesting houses. Also would be great to come in November when the cranes are around. The International Crane Centre was very interesting as well - so you could learn about the wildlife and the WWF efforts in conservation of migratory birds. Our guide was excellent and everything went really smoothly. Lunch was delicious. Very small group which was a bonus and so easy to book through Klook (no voucher or extra pickups required - just turn up on the day). Recommend to take snacks with you as lunch isn't until 2pm, but there are also options to buy food at various locations on the tour as well. Easy to get to the pick up location - we were staying very close by, so walked there. You won't regret doing this tour.
Great thanks to Jade!Very caring, and i deeply feel her feeling about war. War and political are ruthless.
Our guide, Mr Kim was excellent! His hometown is at the DMZ although he has travelled the world during his younger days so he can tell us all about stories around the DMZ area, with much passion. Besides the DMZ attractions we also saw lots of cranes and geese flying in V formation. A word of caution: do not attempt the 2nd tunnel if your fitness level is subpar or if you are claustrophobic. There is a waiting area and a small exhibition where you can wait for the group.
A very surprising experience. I met many new friends. The tour guide is a strong man in his 70s. He speaks good English and is very enthusiastic. He is highly recommended.
The itinerary is well arranged. There are free local snacks in the morning and lunch is also good. The tour guide is very serious and patient. It is highly recommended!
Nice DMZ Tour in Cherwon. Our Guide Jade was very nice and toll us a lot about the History of the tour. Lunch Was really tasty.
My friends and I enjoyed our tour with Sam! He was very knowledgeable about Korean history and provided valuable information for the DMZ tour. We had a really fabulous time visiting all the different sites (tunnel, observatory, bridge). Would 100% recommend this tour which brings you to the second tunnel that is really close to the North Korea border and Sam’s and the driver’s service was commendable :)
It was an impressive tour at DMZ. Sam is a quite experienced tour guide and knowageable about Korean history. Very organized itinerary and time controll. I strongly recommend to joint the DMZ tour when your stay in Seoul.
