What to expect
Begin your laid-back evening bike tour with a meet up at the Discova Day Tour Shop where you'll receive your rental helmets and bikes, before heading towards the old city wall’s eastern gate at 6.00 PM, passing many of Chiang Mai’s quaint lanes. Arrive at the first stop, Tha Phae Gate, which was once the entrance through which traders brought their wares into the city. Learn more about Chiang Mai's history as a trading hub at this beautifully restored gate.
Continue your ride through the spaghetti streets of the old city to the temple Wat Intakhin, with its serene 700 hundred year old white Buddha and the Three Kings Monument, where you will hear about the founding of Chiang Mai. Proceed with the tour to the city moat. Leaving the bikes by the side of the moat, walk across to Wat Lok Molee with its beautifully illuminated stupa and ornate wooden prayer hall. At this time of day you have a good chance of hearing the monks chanting their prayers.
The next stop is Chiang Mai’s grandest monument: Wat Chedi Luang was built to house the ashes of a king and was once the home of the Emerald Buddha, now housing the City Pillar and 3 auspicious dipterocarp trees which provide protection to the city. Cycle to Chiang Mai’s Gate Market for the last stop and wander through the bustling night market. Walking through the market, your guide will point out the different types of street foods available. After selecting some food to sample, sit down with a drink and enjoy the night market atmosphere.

We had such a great time on this tour and honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as we did. Everything ran smoothly, and it felt really well organised from start to finish. Our tour guide, Aei was the highlight of the day — super friendly, easy to talk to, and really knowledgeable. She shared interesting stories and little details we definitely wouldn’t have known on our own. She also made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. It just felt relaxed and fun the whole way through. Would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you get Aei as your guide!
It was an exciting experience to bike around Chiang Mai at night. We were able to see temples, streets of Chiang Mai, and food markets. The bike tour was well organized and it very safe. Our tour guide Don was very good.
Great adventure and combined sightseeing. Our tour guide, Farm, was attentive throughout the bike riding in the old city streets and road. Wonderful way to see the city. Bikes were in excellent condition. Flat riding, suitable for beginners.
Farm was kind and thoughful guide. He sincerely took care of our safety. He did the his best for all the time.
We had an amazing time cycling through the old city and markets. The guide was excellent and gave us a lot of useful information about the history of Chiang Mai. We got an opportunity to visit all the old city gates, and stop by a local market for local food.
I had the most incredible experience with the bike city tour in Chiang Mai! The tour was perfectly organized, offering a unique and immersive way to explore the city. The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about Chiang Mai’s history, culture, and hidden gems along the way. The bikes were in great condition and comfortable to ride, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. The route was well-planned, taking us through charming neighborhoods, bustling markets, and serene temples. We even had time to stop for delicious local snacks, which added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. What truly stood out was the personal touch and passion of the team. They ensured everyone felt safe and included, no matter their riding skill level. If you’re looking for a fun, eco-friendly, and memorable way to discover Chiang Mai, this bike tour is an absolute must. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!
The cycling tour covered the temples inside and outside old city. I was also able to try Khao Soi their local dish. My guide P'Chi was very helpful and explained the history of the temples well.
It was an okay tour. We visited only two major temples and did not get much information about them. The market portion of the tour was just one market where we tried three things. I expected a bit more from the market portion of the tour. The tour bikes were in great condition, and the guide ensured we were safe throughout the entire trip.
Good experiences! nice place! nice tour guide! learning lot of history about Chiangmai
I was the only one that day. Although it ended quickly, it was really nice to ride in Chiang Mai, it was cool and comfortable. I can speak a little Thai, and the tour guide was very happy to chat with me.
