Klook’s representative will contact you via WhatsApp to confirm the timing of the tour. We were picked up punctually by Jeep driver Mr Dat at our hotel lobby and proceeded for a drive up to Hai Van Pass. The ride took around 45 minutes one way and you get to enjoy breathtaking views of Da Nang on the way up and also when up at the halfway point of Hai Van Pass. The Jeep will stop at a shop that sells some drinks / snacks and souvenirs. Each person will have to buy a drink / snack or pay 10000 dong to rest there and take photos of the view. There are restrooms available here too. After spending about an hour there, we got on the Jeep again and headed back to our hotel lobby. This is a good experience as the Jeep allows you to see a lot more compared to being in a standard car / bus and is also more stable / safe as compared to a motorbike. Just remember to bring your sunglasses and put plenty of sunscreen as although our Keep had a canvas shelter, the sun was still hitting us at different angles. Mr Dat could communicate in simple English and that made the tour more enjoyable as well. Overall, perhaps a bit pricey but would say it’s worth the experience at least once in a lifetime.
Nice experience to ride on an old military jeep. Guide speaks English well and has alot of stories to share. The view at the peak is nice slightly cooler but the view going up looks great. The whole activity is shorter than expected as there is only 1 pitstop at the peak only and we could stay as long as we want. Do note there is no hotel pick up, you have to go to the meeting point which is slightly further away from the city centre.
wish klook did the hai van pass on a motorcycle or scooter but a jeep was the next best thing and didn’t disappoint….English tour guide was also good and knowledgeable. Also when you get to the top just buy a drink or something small/cheap as the stores up there are very expensive.
