This trip is centered around Kawachi Wisteria Garden, one of northern Kyushu’s most popular spring destinations. During the blooming season, cascades of purple, white, and pink wisteria form stunning flower tunnels overhead, filling the air with a gentle fragrance and creating a truly magical, photo-perfect atmosphere. The itinerary also includes time at a local outlet mall, where guests can enjoy relaxed shopping, grab a meal, or simply unwind at their own pace. Reviews
If you want a more relaxed paced itinerary, get this tour. During our visit, the wisteria flowers are not in full bloom yet, nevertheless, we still enjoyed the place and the garden.
The entire itinerary and timing were perfectly planned. The tour guide's explanations were also very clear and professional. We were lucky to have good weather and visit during the full bloom of the wisteria flowers, which made it very worthwhile.
The tour program was satisfactory, but the time allotted for the wisteria garden was insufficient. Perhaps an additional 30 minutes could be added. The time given for shopping at the outlet could potentially be reduced by 30 minutes. As for the guide, Chen Yun was very friendly and communicative; however, the explanations in English were limited, with more being provided in Mandarin.
Despite the bad weather, I still feel very lucky to have joined this tour. We experienced the seasonal Kawachi Fujien Wisteria Garden, the interactive Kokura Castle which is suitable for all ages, and the Kitakyushu Outlet Mall. Our tour guide, Ms. Li, was very dedicated. In addition to her explanations, she gave us many travel tips and even waited outside the car in the heavy rain for everyone to return, which was very touching.
We booked our flight tickets well in advance, just in time for the wisteria blooming season. Having heard so much about Kawachi Fuji Garden, we eagerly signed up for a one-day tour on April 27, 2026. Our guide, Chen Yun, was incredibly dedicated, addressing travelers of different nationalities in three languages. We always book with this tour company whenever we visit Fukuoka, and each time brings new surprises!
Our tour guide, Ms. Du, was enthusiastic and charming, always smiling, and fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese. She had no trouble leading a large group. Although the wisteria wasn't in full bloom, we were still very satisfied because the weather was lovely.
Although it rained that day, it didn't dampen our spirits for enjoying the wisteria flowers. Our tour guide, Ms. Wong, is from Hong Kong and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, and English. Her professional attitude is highly commendable! I strongly recommend this tour.
The itinerary was great, but unfortunately, the wisteria bloom wasn't as expected; less than 10% of the flowers were in bloom!
We loved our day trip to Kokura Castle, the Outlets, and the Wisteria Garden. The castle is beautiful, and the history museum inside is worth it! We bought several items of clothing at the Outlets. The Wisteria Garden was beautiful, but the flowers weren't at their best due to the temperature and the time of year we went. The guide is perfect and tries to the best of her ability to explain and teach you about the place.
It would be a great pleasure to see the wisteria flowers covering the mountainside at Kawachi Fujien before the viewing period ends.
