The agency will contact you and arrange the pick up time and the driver is punctual in picking us up for the trip. Wayan and Kadek are our assign guide for the trip to Mount Agung. They are very professional and well versed in the route. They took safety as first priority and ensure the safety of the hike. We have a memorable hiking experience to Mount Agung. Mount Agung is a challenging route. Need to be physically and mentally prepare for the hike. We took close to seven hours to reach the summit and 5 hours to reach back the starting point.

It's an overnight hike that is frankly quite tiring on no sleep, and I actually don't think you need to start at 11pm as there were times we were just waiting in sheltered areas because going up further is cold and windy. The views at sunrise is pretty epic though - see photos. you get to see Rinjani on the horizon and Mt Batur. The terrain is tricky and slippery, made of loose rock and sand, plus you've got a c. 1,900m climb in the dark and back down, we slipped a few times. Least the landing was soft. Trail is also dirty, lots of rubbish laying around. Guide was clearly experienced and chatted to friends along route, not so much helping us going up but more when we headed down the mountain. I didn't like that he smoked with us behind him. Nice enough though. Klook/agent could have told us that we would be carrying our own bfst items as we didn't allow space, it was also made of mainly processed snacks, wafers and such.

I have to say - This tour was great. From pick up to drop off every person we met was fantastic. Our driver was an incredible guy who showed us the back roads to the meeting point. A big special shout out to Tony, our guide, who really made the hike special. He was so funny and kept pace with us up the mountain (we were determined to make it to the top first). He took amazing photos for us and overall just made something like climbing a mountain feel easy. Many of the guides speak little English so you’ll need to make the experience your own and just roll with the guides as you go. My partner and I went planning a climb but the company went out of their way to provide us jackets from some of their local friends, which was an incredible touch. we can’t say anything but positive things and highly recommend. It’s a tough climb though so be warned!

We were picked up at around 11pm and started our hike at about 1.30am. We were well taken care of by our guide and reached the peak before sunrise. Unfortunately, we didn't know that the Pasar Agung route did not go to the true summit. Apparently, it used to lead there via a narrow crater rim but that path was destroyed in the recent eruption. It would have been nice if the Klook listing had mentioned that. We were slightly disappointed, but nevertheless, the views were amazing and we know that we would have made it up there anyway. If you are able to run 10K's comfortably, this hike should be very manageable for you. Downhill was painful as usual and the guide was very kind to help me and my jelly knees. The driver was very professional as well. Thank you for taking care of us!

The excursion is definitely organized. We were well taken care of by our driver Gunawan and guide Lahni. This is a challenging hike both up and down due to the rocky volcanic terrain. The protective gloves and hiking pole that we were provided at the start proved to be very helpful. The weather was perfect at the peak and we arrived over an hour before sunrise. This would be my only complaint, as we could have left 1.5 hours later (allowing more time for sleep) and still peaked in time for sunrise. However, I understand they need to accommodate guests of all hiking speeds. Bring real grippy hiking shoes and a warm jacket for the peak!

Was supposed to climb Mt Agung but the mountain was closed due to a religious ceremony which is umderstandable. We were informed 2 days before our schedule but we understand it's not the fault of the organizer as he immediately informed us after getting the notice. Hopefully in the future, they (government or religious leader, not sure which one of the two) will announce it early as it was really sudden. The organizer offered us an alternative which is Mt Batur and we're glad we took it, we even went to hot spring and coffee plantation. He also refunded the difference since Mt Agung is more expensive. Our guide was great too and our pick up driver was very informative about Bali's history. And they prepared lots of food for breakfast too so we're grateful. We'll definitely be back for Mt Agung in the future! Thank you and see you soon again!

If you like hiking, this is not to be missed. The view is amazing and you’ll get to see the volcano that is still emitting smoke. However the hike itself is not easy, with challenging climb towards the final 400-500 m ascend. Our guide Lennie was very good.

Although the weather was bad on the day we climbed the mountain, the tour guide took us back down in the last hour of the journey for the safety of the tourists. We didn't reach the summit but it was very impressive.
