The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is located at No. 1375 Panda Avenue, outside North Third Ring Road, Chenghua District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. It is 10 kilometers away from the city center and more than 30 kilometers away from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. It is a world-renowned ex-situ conservation base for giant pandas, a scientific research and breeding base, a public education base, and an educational tourism base. The base covers an area of 1500 acres. As a "Giant Panda Ex-situ Conservation Ecological Demonstration Project," it is world-renowned for protecting and breeding giant pandas, red pandas, and other endangered wild animals unique to China.   • Due to the high temperatures in summer, giant pandas prefer cool environments. Therefore, all giant pandas are exhibited indoors. Visitors may purchase tickets at their own discretion. Once tickets have been validated, refunds will not be processed due to the aforementioned reason. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • The park implements a real-name registration system (one ticket per person with valid ID). Each ID number is limited to one electronic ticket purchase.
  • Online ticket purchasers: Please present your valid ID.
  • Luggage Storage: Free luggage storage service is available at the visitor center, operating hours: 09:00-17:00.
  • The Giant Panda Base covers a large area. Visitors may choose to use the sightseeing vehicles provided within the park (Fee: CNY30 / person).
