Ishigaki Island: Stargazing & Jungle Night Tour (Okinawa)

Hiro was an awesome tour guide! very funny and knowledgeable. He made sure to keep us safe and entertained the entire time in the jungle. He was kind enough provide food recommendations! The jungle was beautiful and a lot of wildlife to view. Please be careful while exploring. Nature is to be respected!

The guide even showed us special routes known only to them, which made for a truly unique experience. We were able to see places not easily discovered by the general public, which significantly increased our satisfaction with the tour. The explanations were kindly provided in Korean, making it easy to understand the content, and we felt comfortable participating from start to finish. The guide's bright energy consistently led the atmosphere, making the tour itself more enjoyable, and it was immediately clear why they are such an excellent guide. They also meticulously looked after our safety, which gave us even greater peace of mind. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a distinctive and memorable experience in Ishigaki.

I booked the night tour on Klook because they said there were countless stars in the night sky, but unfortunately, due to the forecast of rain the next day, there were too many clouds and I couldn't see a single star. It was pitch black~~~ as we walked through the forest path relying on only one flashlight, but surprisingly, the kids observed the forest, talked a lot about this and that, and didn't get annoyed at all, they actually liked it. We saw frogs, water snakes, terrestrial snakes(?), millipedes, silverfish, and coconut crabs. We saw all sorts of things, haha. Thanks to the bright energy and kindness of our guide, Makoto-san, I wasn't afraid of the rough jungle. The Ryukyu (Okinawa) Islands are islands formed by tectonic plate movements. Coral reefs formed in the sea, and the land rose up (upward rise) turning the coral reefs into land. The terrain of the night tour was made of coral! That's why even now, the seawater is clear, coral reefs are well-developed, and there are many caves and limestone formations. I thought they would be bored because there was no Wi-Fi, but they accepted the situation and turned their attention to other things faster than I expected. I had an 'aha' moment. Instead of scolding them for using their phones so much, I should create environments where they can't use their phones more often. It's been two days since the tour ended, and they're still talking about how much they liked the night tour! For reference, they are boys going into 11th and 8th grade.

I joined the Starry Sky & Jungle Night Tour in Ishigaki and had such an unforgettable experience under the guidance of Akari. The tour was incredibly unique and fun — definitely something different from ordinary sightseeing. Akari was very professional, knowledgeable, and cheerful. She made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. While guiding us through the jungle and helping us search for wildlife, she also shared fascinating information about the geological formations and natural environment of the island. I learned so much throughout the tour. It was truly magical to explore nature at night, and it made me appreciate Ishigaki in a completely new way. I would love to come back again in the summer to see the breathtaking star-filled sky. Highly recommended!

Our guide, Sebastian, is incredibly kind. He meticulously checked our boot sizes to ensure we were comfortable. Upon arrival, he tirelessly walked with us, providing detailed explanations, so we could see more insects, coconut crabs, and stars! Thanks to Sebastian, I saw my first scorpion. Thank you for helping us create wonderful memories with our children! I highly recommend the Jungle Night Tour – be sure to experience it!

Had a great time with our guide Sebastian! He gave a great tour of the jungle and went out of his way to find as many different creatures as possible for us to see. He was very informative about Ishigaki, and the jungle and spoke English very well. He made sure we all had fun and stayed safe. He also gave us plenty of food/activity recommendations on the way back from the jungle!

Morning Diego feel free to use this as my review :) We had an amazing time on the Okinawa Starry Night Jungle Cave Adventure Walk, and it was all thanks to our incredible guide, Diego! From the start, Diego was super friendly and had such a positive vibe. He went above and beyond to make the experience special—climbing and bending into high and tricky spots just to help us spot unique night creatures. His dedication and passion really showed!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Throughout the tour, he constantly checked in to make sure we were doing okay, which made us feel very well taken care of. He also took so many beautiful photos of us (and the wildlife!) and sent them over right after. One of our favorite moments was when he helped us pose and suggested the perfect lighting angle—resulting in a stunning photo of me and my hubby that we’ll always cherish.😍😍😍 This was our very first honeymoon activity, and it couldn’t have been a better start. 10/10 would recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Night Tour – Highly Recommended! We had a great experience on this tour with our guide Ayaka! She was extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, making the tour enjoyable and informative. We were lucky enough to see two coconut crabs, which was an incredible sight! Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn’t see the stars that night, but that’s just nature being unpredictable. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic, and we still had an amazing time exploring the jungle at night. A huge thank you to Ayaka for making this such a fun and memorable tour. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ishigaki!

It was a 2 hours tour. 1 hour of travel to and fro as well as a 1 hour jungle night tour and stargazing. We managed to see the renowned coconut crabs and many other night creatures! We were blessed by a sky full of stars!

I unfortunately had a sudden car accident on the original reservation date, so I had to rebook. The reservation was changed to the next day without any problems. And today's guide, 'Makoto,' was so good at leading and guiding us, so we had a really enjoyable tour~ Thank you. And thank you so much for the photos of our group with the starry background.
