- The red maple leaves in autumn, the starry sky in summer nights, the sea of clouds at dusk, the Formosan Reeves' muntjac and Mikado pheasant darting through the forest trails, and the only accessible millennium-old red cypress sacred tree in Greater Taichung are the most enchanting impressions of the Dasyueshan National Forest Recreation Area.
- Situated at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, the climate here is cool. Only the Xiaoshenmu Trail and Mumadao area retain the original cypress giant tree forest, which is one of the most beautiful sceneries in the recreation area.
- Located in the deepest part of the recreation area, the 50-meter-high, over 1,400-year-old Divine Tree used to be the 11th largest giant tree in Taiwan.
