Reviews summaryThis time, we booked a 10-hour car charter for a private tour of Ubud. Our destinations were Ubud Palace, Ubud Water Palace, Rice Palace, and Tirta Empul Temple, with hotel pick-up and drop-off included. Along the way, our guide, Asthara, recommended a stop at a Luwak coffee plantation, where we enjoyed a coffee and tea tasting. Our driver-guide, Asthara, was wonderful; she patiently answered all our questions and shared insights about various spots, recommended shops, and local culture. Her driving was also very careful. The journey from Tirta Empul back to our hotel was long and the traffic was heavy, but she drove diligently until the very end. Although we went a little over the 10 hours, she handled it gracefully without any sign of displeasure, which we greatly appreciated. Approximately four hours of the 10-hour trip were spent on the round trip to Ubud. However, we thoroughly enjoyed every stop, and the travel itself was pleasant and comfortable. We are very satisfied and would definitely like to use this service again when we return to Bali.
We took a full-day tour, visiting temples, the monkey forest, and a waterfall. It was an extraordinary experience. Our guide, Edi Lanus, was incredibly kind and helpful, and took the time to capture beautiful photos of my wife and me. When we visited the temples, he explained their history and how ceremonies are conducted, answering every question with care and precision. In conclusion, it was an extraordinary day with an exceptional guide, Edi Lanus, whom we wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you, Bali, thank you, Edi!
Today was a wonderful trip. Our driver Mulia brought us to different spots in ubud, such as coffee plantation, swing, and waterfall. He is nice and kind. He will briefly introduce the spot before bringing us to there. When we went to the waterfall, he kept reminding us to watch our step. The experience was so nice that we would like to recommend this private tour.
Our Ubud Day Tour was excellent. Monkey forest, rice terraces and the swings were 10/10. If you come from Europe you might be a bit dissapointed with the Tegenungan waterfall. Many thanks to our driver Asthara - professional, very friendly, we got water bottles, he was funny and was willing to answer our every question, explain about Balinese culture and give tips what to see in Bali. The car was also really clean and the drive to our destinations relaxed. Asthara 10/10
When making a reservation, you send the places you want to visit in advance, and they take you there! The car was very spacious, and although it took about an hour to get from Kuta to Ubud, it was very comfortable! Admission tickets are, of course, not included, so it's smoother to prepare cash or buy them in advance on Klook 🌾 (Some places were cheaper to buy on Klook than on-site!) This service is highly recommended for those who already know where they want to go! And the driver (Mr. Dicky) was very kind! He taught me a lot about Bali during the trip 🙌 He even played Japanese music as a thoughtful gesture 😂🫶 ⸻ 🚗 Places I visited during the 10-hour charter 🚗 Coffee plantation to see the Luwak 🐱 Monkey Forest 🐵 Rice Terrace 🌾 & Swing Lunch Tirta Empul Temple Souvenir shop It was very well organized and everything went smoothly! The car was clean and spacious. It took about 1 hour to get to Ubud, and the ride was very comfortable. My driver, Dicky, also shared many interesting things about Balinese culture during the trip. For example, he told me that Bali will celebrate Nyepi (Balinese New Year) on March 18, which I found very interesting. Thank you, Dicky! Terima kasih!!!
We had an absolutely wonderful time touring Ubud with Owen. Navigating Bali's traffic can be stressful, but Owen’s driving was incredibly smooth and safe, making us feel completely at ease throughout the day. Beyond his excellent driving, he is a fantastic photographer! He knew all the best angles at the scenic spots and took amazing photos for us. What we appreciated the most, however, was his deep knowledge of Balinese culture. He patiently explained the history, traditions, and local customs behind the temples and villages we visited, which made our trip so much more meaningful. Owen is professional, kind, and truly goes above and beyond. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an authentic and worry-free Bali experience!
We had an amazing trip with our guide Okta. Throughout the day, we visited the Monkey Forest, beautiful rice terrace, stunning waterfall, and enjoyed some incredible local coffee. What made the experience even better was how knowledgeable our guide was. We learned so much about the history, traditions, and culture of Ubud and Bali as a whole. It was a great way to celebrate our second anniversary. The tour was well-organized, informative, and unforgettable. We left with great memories, amazing photos, and a much deeper appreciation for Bali. Highly recommend this tour and guide to anyone visiting.
Had a great day with Kodi in Ubud and surrounding areas, he was very knowledgeable, professional and super friendly he made sure we saw everything we had ask for and suggested a few additional sights. His car was clean and comfortable and his English was fantastic. we visited the markets, coffee plantation, rice terrace and temples where he shared a wealth of information. Thank you for a great insight to Bali. Highly recommended if you would like personalised tour ✨🙏
I highly recommend Gunawan. I took a customized private tour of Ubud, and he took amazing photos. He also planned efficient routes to each desired location, which saved a lot of time. Along the way to our destinations, he recommended hidden gems and local restaurants that were worth visiting. I was able to enjoy a much richer experience than originally planned. The reasonable price, kind smile, and warm manners were an added bonus. It was a memorable tour even after returning to Korea.
Our guide, Justin, was very friendly and taught us a lot about Balinese culture, history, language, and more. He prioritized our requests as much as possible while driving us around. We weren't able to specify our accommodation as the pick-up location, but when we contacted him via WeChat the day before and told him about it, he kindly picked us up from our hotel and even dropped us off at the restaurant where we wanted to have dinner after the tour. All of our experiences in Ubud were wonderful. At the swing, there were many staff members fluent in Japanese who took great photos for us and were very helpful with my long dress. The rice terraces are a must-see, as you'll be overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery of the seemingly endless rice paddies! In the Monkey Forest, adorable monkeys gathered to eat bananas, climbed on our shoulders and hands – they were so cute and lovely! The staff there are very experienced in handling the monkeys and provide support. At the coffee plantation, a guide took us around the grounds, and we were able to sample various types of coffee and tea. The civet coffee requires an extra charge, but you should definitely try it! It's delicious 🤤. At the temple, we were able to slowly walk around the magnificent historical structures, which was a very relaxing experience. Local people were fishing by the moat and spending their time leisurely, which made for a very pleasant time. Ubud is a bit far, but everyone should definitely visit!
