Hokkien Conversational Workshop

Session 1: Roots & Heritage Participants learn basic Hokkien phrases, greetings like “身体健康” and “大吉大利”, simple dialogues, and traditional rhymes through interactive activities and games. A video segment introduces Hokkien traditions, red packet symbolism, festive taboos, and folktales, with guided discussions to deepen understanding

Session 2: Intergenerational Exchange Participants interact with seniors, introducing themselves in Hokkien and learning about traditional practices and festive memories. Mixed teams take part in a fun Hokkien quiz, followed by a mini showcase featuring songs or rhymes A lively programme that connects language, culture, and generations through fun and shared experiences
