One-person group tour from Osaka: Katsuo-ji Temple & Kyoto Miyama Thatched Village & Arashiyama Nonomiya Shrine One-Day Tour

We took a day trip from Osaka and visited Katsuo-ji Temple, Miyama thatched-roof village, and Arashiyama all in one day. Although the itinerary was packed, each place had its own unique charm, and the overall arrangement went very smoothly. Our first stop was Katsuo-ji Temple, where the numerous Daruma dolls were incredibly cute. You could see Daruma dolls of various sizes and expressions everywhere, giving the entire temple a distinctive character. Next, we headed to Miyama Thatched Village, where seeing the traditional thatched-roof houses against the backdrop of the mountains truly gave us a taste of rural Japan. Finally, we arrived at Arashiyama. The scenery of the bamboo grove path was as beautiful as ever. Strolling along and taking photos, we quickly immersed ourselves in Kyoto's relaxed atmosphere. The biggest bonus of this trip was our excellent tour guide. They were very friendly and informative when introducing the sights along the way, patiently answering any questions we had, which made it easier for first-time visitors to these places to enjoy themselves. Although visiting three attractions in one day was a bit rushed, not having to figure out transportation ourselves made the whole experience very enjoyable!

Our tour guide was absolutely amazing, providing explanations in both Chinese and English, and taking great care of us! Katsuo-ji Temple was incredibly charming! You can see cute Daruma dolls everywhere, and you can also buy them at the gift shop and place them wherever you like. It's a must-visit! Arashiyama was also great for exploring! I highly recommend trying the honey ice cream! The travel time to each location was about an hour, so you can catch up on sleep in the car. The overall itinerary didn't include meal times, so everyone needs to find their own food.

She guided us through all three locations, especially at Katsuo-ji Temple, where she led us through collecting stamps at all six points so we could successfully get the beautiful Daruma postcard. Tour Guide Kang also introduced hidden gems in Japan along the way and handled any issues with quick thinking. Although the trip was short, it felt incredibly rewarding, with rich experiences at every attraction.

Not only did he provide detailed historical and cultural explanations at each attraction, giving us a deeper understanding of the local area, but he also demonstrated professional photography skills, proactively helping us capture many wonderful souvenir photos. With his careful guidance and assistance, language barriers were overcome, allowing us to fully enjoy the pleasure of our trip. We are truly grateful for Mr. Kaneko's professional service, which left us with precious and beautiful memories. We wholeheartedly recommend this excellent guide!

It was an efficient trip where we didn't have to worry about transportation, language barriers, or how to navigate the sites. Had a great time, the service was excellent, it was a group tour but not restrictive, the schedule was reasonable, the itinerary wasn't rushed, and there was enough free time at each spot. The Ine boathouses were really quiet and full of life, and Miyama was more untouched than I expected. The tour guide was very professional, explained things clearly and patiently, and clearly explained the meeting points and times. The day was not tiring but very fulfilling.
