  • Yabiji is the name of Japan's largest table coral community, located 15 km north of Miyakojima, Okinawa.
  • It is located northeast of Ikema Island, which is connected to the main island of Miyako Island by a bridge, and the coral community boasts a vast area of approximately 17 km from north to south and 6.5 km from east to west.
  • It consists of about 100 coral groups, including eight large coral groups called Wangbishi / Daebishi and small coral groups called Jokubishi.
  • You can see this vast coral community and the colorful fish that inhabit it, so it is also called "Japan's Great Barrier Reef."

What to expect

This is a boat snorkeling activity, but it takes place in relatively shallow waters (approximately 1.5~2m), so even beginners can participate with confidence! The instructor will guide you in a friendly manner. Anyone in good health between the ages of 6 and 65 can participate!
