Gulong Gorge Rafting Safety Instructions

  1. Please do not bring car keys, mobile phones, cameras, necklaces, bracelets, watches, or other items onto the raft to avoid loss or getting them wet. The scenic area is not responsible for compensation for lost or damaged items during the rafting process. Please store the above items at the visitor center's storage area.
  2. The following individuals are strictly prohibited from participating in rafting: those weighing 125 kg or more, seniors over 60 (male) / 55 (female), children under 1.2 meters, those under the influence of alcohol, disabled individuals, pregnant women, or tourists with mental illness, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, fractures, lumbar disc herniation, or other illnesses, to avoid accidents.
  3. Before rafting, you must wear a life jacket and helmet as required. During the rafting process, it is strictly forbidden to remove the helmet to splash water, get off the raft to play in the water, or stand on the raft.
  4. Always hold onto the safety belt inside the raft, pay attention to the signs and warnings along the way, and obey the instructions of the staff.
  5. When passing through drops, hold the safety rope tightly, tighten your feet, lean your body towards the center of the boat, and go downstream.
  6. If you encounter a capsizing, remain calm, quickly go ashore, or seek help from the river safety staff.
  7. If you encounter a vortex that traps the raft, please patiently adjust the direction and center of gravity of the rubber raft. Do not get into the water to push the raft and seek help from the river safety staff in time.
  8. A raft can generally carry 2 people, subject to the coordination of on-site staff.
