What to expect
Nag Tibba offers isolation in spite of its easy trails. Great for beginners, this journey is popular with novice trekkers as the trails are accessible, and the whole trek can be completed in the course of a weekend. Day one starts with the 90km journey from Dehradun to Pantwari Village, and on the way, you’ll see the bustling city of Mussoorie and view beautiful Kempty Falls. After lunch in the village, you’ll make the 4km ascending trek to the campsite for dinner and a good night’s rest. You’ll get up early the next day for your hike up to Nag Tibba’s top, which will be a 4km journey of medium difficulty. Don’t forget to bring water: there won’t be any water sources along the way although the area is rich in beautiful forests. At the summit, you can take in the glorious Himalayan range, which is surely a memorable sight for starting trekkers. Then you’ll make your descent back to Patwari, and after lunch, you’ll head back to Dehradun.
