It's not too far from Seoul, but not too far... There is a free bus from the nearest station (about 30 minutes one way), but it doesn't run often, so I decided to take the city bus (about 1 hour one way). It's about 2 hours from Seoul. There were a lot of people because we went on a public holiday, but once inside, it was spacious so we were able to relax. Events were held at different times, including traditional Korean music, traditional performing arts, and plays. It was so worth seeing that I wanted to stay there forever. We walked around the places and buildings used in the drama, and even had an amusement park in one corner. The park pamphlets are available in Japanese, so it's no problem if you don't understand Korean. I would like to go again with my friends.
Easy to redeem - just show code and the staff will write down. Singles ticket will be issued for 2 or more participants. The village is not very big and can be finished within 2 Hours. There are few performance throughout the day but the most grand one is farmer performance at 12 noon. There are eateries in the village so no need to worry about food and drinks. Their museum is very nice showing the series of events of a typical Korean from baby to adult. It is easy to travel self using the subway and bus. More flexibility in term of time and hours you want to stay there. Transportation Guidance is provided on their website. Subway to Sanggal station and take bus 37 to the gate directly - same with returning to station. Can also travel to Suwon station and take a bus to KFV.
Highly recommended to get this trip. My knight fetch me at the hotel and the journey takes less than hour by car.At the village, we were handled by a volunteer guide who took us around the village for an hour and a half. We managed to watch the performances. The views and scenery there was very beautiful. We learned a lot about Korean people throughout this trip.
we visited last December 2024. The place was really awesome! When we went there there were less people, the reason might that it was winter season. But the timing was great, we got to see autumn leaves and snow at the same time! Buying the ticket on klook was hassle free. The only thing I regret not buying on Klook was the transportation packaging going to the location. It took us 2 hours from Seoul to get to the location. We road the train from Hongdae to Suwon station which was hassle free. The hussle was the bus from Suwon to KFV which was limited to we had to wait 30 minutes if we missed it. Nonetheless, overall experience was unforgettable.
Really nice place. Highly recommend 👌 3-4hours to see all 280 buildings. many attractions inside . Don't forget to eat there ! Traditional Korean Food and alcohol. If you love historical kdrama, you really love this place !
I can highly recommend a visit at the Korean Folk Village. It's truly an amazing experience. Although the ticketing process was a little bit more complicated, everything went fine and I had a great time ☺️ (The food court is also really delicious and there is a touch screen where you can order and pay, no korean needed!)
The tour guide was very nice. I didnt realize I was the only person on the tour until I met up with the guide. Im glad he didnt cancel because I really enjoyed this tour. If you want yo experience korean historical culture, you have to book this one. They have performances in the village every 45mins if i remember correctly. 5-star rating to the travel agency klook arranged this tour with!
MUST TRY IN KOREA!! Suwon is a bit far from Seoul with train and bus ride but definitely worth it!!! Feels like legit korean history drama! You get to experience plays and stunts from staffs. And the area is so biigg!!! Has its own mini river as well. You have to alot a whole day for this since every inch of the place is picturesque!! Also try hanbok and their canteen for best experience.
