Shawn the instructor is very dedicated, from pre-trip confirmation to assisting with renting ski equipment and sizing, and basic instruction. Starting from the very, very basics, he can eventually get beginners to learn how to ride the lift and ski beginner slopes (depending on individual aptitude, I'm the type with poor physical fitness). The instructor stays by your side the whole time, making you feel very safe. He doesn't use his phone or do other things, he's dedicated every moment, and there's no unnecessary chatting or awkwardness. He's a perfect instructor for introverts. This time it was for two skis, I chose Yuzawa Nakazato Ski Resort, selected the 6-hour course, and on the second day when I skied on my own, I was already able to slowly, slowly ski down the beginner slope by myself 😂 I'm so moved!

This was an amazing learning experience! I'm a complete beginner, and I booked a one-on-one lesson. The progress I made in just two hours exceeded my expectations 🥹. I highly, highly recommend Instructor Cata; she's incredibly skilled! She can ski backward, guiding me from the front. Not only was she very punctual and friendly, but she also had endless patience. She constantly encouraged me throughout the lesson and found different ways to explain things when I didn't understand. By the end of the day, I was riding the gondola and skiing down various slopes. I gained so much confidence that I could ski on my own in the afternoon. Of course, having an instructor there made me feel much safer and more secure. No words can truly express my joy and gratitude. I highly recommend her to everyone! 👍🏼

We booked our first ski experience through Klook and it exceeded our expectations! 🤍 In just 2 hours, we were able to learn the basics, even for someone like me who really struggles with balance. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to do it, but our instructor Juan was incredibly patient, clear, and encouraging throughout the whole session. He made everything feel easy and fun, which helped build our confidence right away. By the end, we were actually skiing! Highly recommend this experience, especially for beginners. Thank you, Juan, for making our first time on the slopes so memorable ⛷️✨

Instructor: Aleksei (Alex) Location: Naeba Safety: Excellent Experience: Our family of four (two adults and two children) had never skied on two planks before. After a thorough 5-hour lesson from the instructor, both children (16y, 10y) were able to ski down the easiest green run! Very fulfilling. Alex is very friendly, has excellent technique, is Russian, and speaks clear and easy-to-understand English. Klook's prices are affordable, cheaper than outside Chinese instructors. Anyone with basic English skills can give it a try! 😊

Nik is a fun, responsible and experienced coach. For our first session, I booked five hours of lessons for two kids. Nik personally took the kids to rent equipment. We started with practice on the beginner area. Later he took the kids up the mountain in turns and held their hands as they skied down. It was an absolutely fulfilling first-time skiing experience for all of us. My daughter enjoyed it so much that she asked to book two more days of lessons right away. She is a rather timid child, but with Nik’s patient encouragement, she was able to ski on her own by the second class. We are truly grateful for all the help Nik has given us—he even picked us up at hotel to the ski resort, and drop us off at the train station after the lessons ended.

The price here is very affordable compared to other private coaches outside. Coach Ethan is extremely patient, experienced, and professional. He explains techniques clearly and takes the time to make sure I understand each movement. His guidance really helps improve confidence and skills step by step. The sessions are well structured and enjoyable, and you can truly feel his passion for coaching. I highly recommend.

Everything was so well organized. So my wife and I decided to come to Yuzawa for snowboarding, we both are newbies. As soon as we submitted the booking, we received email contact from the ski school’s representative, Patrick, was very informative and gave us many useful advices on how to prep ourselves (1st time going to Yuzawa). He told us which snow resorts were suitable for beginners, gear rental info etc. I him questions (1st time going to Yuzawa). In the end we decided on Nakozato Snow Resort. On the day of the lesson, we had Vendy as our instructor. Vendy was super nice, experienced and patient. We spent sometime practicing on the magic carpet, then soon we took the lift and snowboarded down the green line. With just some pointers here and there, Vendy even helped me to successfully improved my turning skills, I was able to performed “Toe side turning” on the snowboard multiple times~ Yay! :)

This time I arranged a ski trip to Yuzawa Park and hired the same instructor as last year, Aaron (from Malaysia). Since I hadn't skied for a year and was still a beginner (only knew how to snowplow stop and turn left and right not very smoothly), I got scared and almost cried on some of the really steep slopes due to my fear of heights. The instructor patiently comforted me and said if I really couldn't do it, I could just walk down. But I skied down anyway. I know there are a lot of private instructors out there, but I still chose Snow Country, which has a complete system. At least I can be confident in the instructor's ability and there's insurance, which is more reassuring for consumers. This time I fell on the cable car and injured my knee, and the instructor did his best to help. Even though I don't know if I'll continue skiing in the future, I still recommend that everyone find a qualified and guaranteed company for peace of mind, and I also recommend my instructor.
