Yunnan Kunming & Dali & Lijiang 6-Day Tour (Includes Travel Photography + Aerial Photography Dual Experience)

This was my first trip to Mainland China and I’m happy I have chosen Yunnan Province. I recommend this package for solo travellers. Though the guides do not speak English, they tried their best to communicate with me since I do not speak and understand Chinese. It was just sad that I was not able to upgrade the cable car ride despite requesting in advance. Also, they do not give the hotel names in advance. But in general, everything went fine.

Overall, we were very pleased with this tour. There is room for improvement. For example: we wish we were told ahead of time about the bus pitstops for the driver and washroom breaks. One day we had to skip dinner in order to save time but the guide did not tell us there was a planned stop that we could buy some take-away food. It would have helped us to plan when to eat and not to worry about not getting any food at all during the bus trip.

both our tour guides ate good especially Carol. she speaks some English and extremely helpful and gave good information. she even send us by taxi even we leave the group. excellent and good tour leader

The Trip had run quite well except it was raining every day which made us a bit challenging to walk . The tour guide had supported us quite well considering we are foreigner which need more time to understand their speak. Overall we had missed two spot places which were shuanglang Ancient town and lashihai. Instead they had brought us to one herbal shopping shop at the 2nd last day at Lijiang which didnt follow the term of Condition strictly (No Shopping Place). On last day at visitor centre , we had also been brought to Jade shopping shop. ALthough they had not forced us to buy, but sometimes it took our effort to reject all offers from shop keeper. It might be good to replace such Shopping activies on last day in Kunming with Local tour on Kunming old street. Furthermore, On the last day of Wyndham hotel at kunming, one of the receptionist is rude toward the customer enquiry. They have claimed as 5 star hotels. But the service of her doesnt show 5 star hotel service.

It was nice and smooth only problem was guide and other people couldn't communicate in English

You have to be Chinese speaking to enjoy the experience in kun ming. Having background in Chinese helps a lot. However, it does not assist the fact that the seller of this klook tour does not respond very well. I had contacted the seller many days before trying to confirm a driver to the first hotel through wechat. The night before I was confirmed with a driver at 10am from my hotel. However, at about 1005am, I was waiting outside my hotel, and I was told that I had to now find my own way to the next hotel. This is unacceptable. Additionally, the seller does not understand English, so she told me to look at klook itinerary, and a picture of the itinerary that she sent me. But, the itinerary she sent me has some differences from klook which makes me confused. Additionally, I was promised a good bus from klook, but came up with subpar bus experience with aircon that barely worked when we had our 4 or 7 hour long bus rides from kun ming to Li Jiang (because of this, I recommend people to take train to avoid the long haul travel - which was painful). I was unfortuate to be put with a tour group that made the trip hard to experience Yunnan well as they constantly rushed the guide to get to the next option of the itinerary. . Despite all these setbacks, Yunnan is a great place to visit (but you have to be Chinese speaking and have all the Chinese apps pre-installed and pre-logged in unless you are planning to get a China number).

the choice of hotels is not the same as listed. mostly offer substandard with no drink. i was lucky i can enjoy the journey with nice people that is very helping knowing that my chinese is good.
