Gulong Gorge Rafting Safety Instructions

  1. Please do not bring car keys, mobile phones, cameras, necklaces, bracelets, watches and other items onto the raft to avoid loss or getting them wet. The scenic area is not responsible for compensation for lost or damaged items during the rafting process. Please store the above items at the visitor center's storage area.
  2. The following individuals are strictly prohibited from participating in rafting: those weighing 125 kg or more, seniors over 60 (male) / 55 (female), children under 1.2 meters, those who are intoxicated, disabled, pregnant, or suffering from mental illness, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, fractures, lumbar disc herniation and other diseases, to avoid accidents.
  3. Before rafting, you must wear a life jacket and helmet as required. During the rafting process, it is strictly forbidden to take off the helmet to splash water, it is strictly forbidden to get off the boat to play in the water, and it is strictly forbidden to stand on the boat.
  4. Always hold the seatbelt inside the raft, pay attention to the signs and warnings along the way, and obey the instructions of the staff.
  5. When passing through a drop, hold the safety rope tightly, tighten your feet, tilt your body towards the center of the boat, and go downstream.
  6. If you encounter a capsizing, remain calm, quickly go ashore or ask for help from the river channel safety staff.
  7. If you encounter a vortex that gets the raft stuck, please patiently adjust the direction and center of gravity of the rubber boat, do not get into the water to push the boat, and ask the river channel safety staff for help in time.
  8. A raft can generally carry 2 people, subject to the coordination of on-site staff.
