The doors opened exactly 10 minutes ago. We sat down with a glass of wine, and then a video played, followed by two guitarists. A woman and a man each sang a song, and then they sang together at the end. Videos played intermittently, which was a nice touch. The man, in particular, sings very well! We really enjoyed the show! ^^
at first it was just a projector playing a video of fado so i thought i had been scammed but these lovely guitarists showed them one singer and another! they took turns singing and even duets and involved the crowd! lovely experience with videos playing in between for education of the craft. not traditional more tourist but overall would recommend!!
I first learned that Lisbon has flowers, which is part of Portuguese culture. Everyone received a glass of wine that day and sat down to wait for the performance. During the show, the performers taught us to sing in Portuguese, which was very interactive.
It is an activity for the tourists. So, on top of listening to the fado songs, there were some video clips to know more about Fado and interactive section to sing fado with the singers. In conclusion, we were happy to be there.
What a lovely hour to end our Lisbon holiday, to experience quintessential Portuguese culture through Music and Song (fado), if was an enjoyable evening to feel the soulful voices in tandem with the strums of the Portuguese guitar. Also liked that they included background info on fado music on the screen.
An enchanting Fado performance The singer even taught us a snippet of a Portuguese song, Cheira Bem, Cheira a Lisboa.
The port wine was good, and it felt great to see the singer and guitarist become one while enjoying and singing. Singing together with everyone was also fun. I'm glad I learned that Pado has everything, whether it's slow or fast songs. It was a memorable time.
very nice and engaging. must go to exprience the fado show. sit infront for better views. many people so queue early.
I was trying to decide which fado restaurant to book, but dining there isn't cheap. Luckily, Klook offers this option to simply enjoy a fado performance. It included a video introduction, a glass of port wine (I thought it would just be regular red wine, so this exceeded my expectations!), and a fado concert with a 12-string guitar performance. It was wonderful! An hour wasn't nearly enough.
nice cultural experience! the port wine was really good
