Dali Erhai Lake & Shuanglang One-Day Boat Tour

The [Dali Erhai Lake & Shuanglong One-Day Boat Tour] was magnificent! I received clear communication via WeChat, so I knew what to expect on the day of the activities. I was picked up at my homestay which was super convenient. The itinerary followed through as expected, but we did go overtime, though I didn't feel rushed throughout the day — it was an efficient tour to experience Dali and Erhai. Although I struggled a lot as the only english speaker, everyone was really kind and patient so I had a really enjoyable time. The price value is absolutely worth it, in my opinion. All the stops were a dream, but that last stop was a magical sunset bicycle (optional) ride at Panxiyuan, perfect way to end the day!

The itineary managed to cover the highlights of Dali which was great. The driver/ guide communicated with us via WeChat as we do not speak Mandarin. He was attentive to our needs. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a 7-seater van. There were tickets that were not included in this tour: Flower Garden at Santorini area: 60+ yuan/pax and electric car at ancient town 60+ yuan/pax (free for our 2 & 4 year old children). Tip for Muslims joining this tour: driver will bring you to a non-halal restaurant, buy lunch instead at the boat docking area next to the ticket station, restaurant has a big green sign which you will not miss. There will be about 30mins+ waiting time before docking the boat. You may eat in the boat as it is about 40mins travel time to S bay. Overall it’s a recommended tour within budget as tour with an English guide could easily costs 2-3 times more.

was lucky enough to get an upgrade to a mini bus with 7 people in the tour group. itinerary was very slow though, and it ended much later (8pm).

The destination itself is beautiful and there are many interesting places to visit along the shores of Erhai Lake.

Our tour guide, Master Ma, was very professional, carefully explaining the historical background of Dali and the Bai ethnic culture along the way, which was very interesting. Our family of three booked a private tour, and Master Ma flexibly arranged the itinerary to meet our needs. He always put the customer first, was friendly, very polite, and humorous.

The itinerary was very full and enjoyable. The driver was very kind and helpful, and taught us how to best enjoy ourselves. Plus, I left something behind and they even figured out how to return it to my hotel.

A nine-seater van will pick up tourists from the hotel in the morning. The driver, who is also a tour guide (Driver Ma), drives safely, provides detailed explanations, and is happy to answer tourists' questions.
