What to expect

  • The theater is located in Taoyuan Grand Canyon, Wulong District, Chongqing, about 9 kilometers away from Fairy Mountain Town. The canyon is "U" shaped, with a height difference of 180 meters. The distant mountains are mysterious, the nearby mountains are majestic, and the ravines are secluded. The choice of the theater not only protects the ecology but also provides an excellent performance space. The theater is designed to install approximately 2,700 audience seats. The stage extends to the stands, and the stands are integrated into the stage, allowing actors and the audience to have zero-distance contact.
  • The large-scale landscape live-action performance "Impression Wulong" is artistically advised by Zhang Yimou, an "Iron Triangle" of Impression series, with Wang Chaoge and Fan Yue as the general directors. More than 100 characteristic actors perform live with genuine emotions. Through live concerts and on-site 3D lasers and various lighting effects, the performance shows the breadth of Chinese history and culture, and also reflects the indomitable and tenacious willpower of the vast number of Bayu people.
  • The performance uses the steep mountain as the large background of the stage. Through the affectionate narration of the old boat trackers, the life of the Wu River boat trackers is displayed in front of us. At the beginning, an old man stands on the stage, telling his grandson stories of his youth. In those underdeveloped years, the boats on the Wu River relied on the boat trackers to move forward. At that time, the boat trackers pulled boats on the river for a lifetime, lived on the river for a lifetime, and married girls from the riverside town. The performance also unfolds along with the story. The Chuanjiang ballad, the slippery pole, the hot pot, the crying wedding and other elements appear in turn, taking you to experience the local customs and features of Chongqing.

  • Enter the park directly with the merchant's SMS message or your ID card, and take your seat according to the seat information. Please arrive at the theater 30 minutes before the performance time to check in. Park entry time is 19:00-19:30 (specific time is subject to the information before entering the park).
  • Children under 1.2 meters (not included) are admitted free of charge without a seat. If a separate seat is required, a separate performance ticket must be purchased. Each adult can only bring one child under 1.2 meters (not included) into the venue free of charge.
  • The performance is geographically located in the canyon. The temperature in the canyon is lower in the evening, so you can add clothing to keep warm.
  • Once this product is successfully booked, cancellation is not supported, please understand. Date changes are not supported after placing the order (real-name ticket purchase: one ticket per person with one ID).

  • Be sure to take the bus from the Fairy Mountain Visitor Center to the theater 1.5-2 hours in advance to watch the performance. There is still a distance from the Fairy Mountain Visitor Center to the Impression Wulong Theater that requires a bus ride.
  • Please be sure to keep your relevant ID documents safe. You need to show relevant ID documents and electronic ticket vouchers for the performance at the manual window when entering the theater.
