Shenzhen Xuyan - An Immersive Ancient Chinese Court Banquet

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Chang'an Fu Standard Seat Lunch. The atmosphere was truly transportive, evoking a sense of ancient Chinese courtly elegance. The presentation of the dishes was artful, reflecting a deep appreciation for culinary tradition. Each bite offered a delightful exploration of authentic flavors and textures. It was a truly memorable and enriching dining occasion.

Easy to find location. Once you place seats reservation via WeChat, the customer service agent provided a detailed instructions with directions and will also remind you a day before your booking. Food and performance is very nice. Recommended to try if you are in Shenzhen!

bought the costume package without makeup but am able to still decide to do the makeup and hairdo at the venue. however, better to arrive at least an hour before so that you do not need to rush if u need hairdo and makeup. need to make the booking via wechat after purchase, and text 2weeks earlier so as to reserve better seats. special diet can be accommodated. overall a recommended experience!

Performance is alright. Food is good, small portion for testing is good enough for me. If you know how to make up better do yourself. The costume and hairdo experience is good.

It was alot of fun picking out a dress and getting makup+ hair done. From the very beginning, communication w staff members over WeChat was professional and straightforward. Bonus, a whole bottle of wine was given for birthday celebrations!

We had a lovely dinner and would definitely recommend it. The food was delicious (the rice could do with more flavour). The only negative point would be how stuffy and hot the venue was. It felt a little uncomfortable being so sweaty and hot whilst trying to enjoy a show.

From food and performance to the entire makeover process, it was a 10/10 for me! We added on makeup and hair on the spot :)

The food is delicious and refined. Although the portions are small, the taste is good. The makeup and styling are very meticulous, and there are many Hanfu options. The service is good, and the photographer's photography and retouching skills are very professional. However, there are no lockers, so it's inconvenient to carry your bag around. The performances are mainly dance-based, which is a bit monotonous. The performance venue is small, so there aren't many dancers, and the stage setting is also relatively simple, which is a bit of a pity.

experience is amazing from performance to food. worth trying. good to come early for those wanna try costume and take photos before crowd.
