Sendai Zao Fox Village & Ginzan Onsen Full-Day Tour

Today, I had a wonderful time on a day trip to Zao Fox Village in Sendai and Ginzan Onsen. The weather was beautiful and sunny, which made the entire journey even more enjoyable. At the fox village, I got to observe many adorable foxes up close; they roamed freely, truly allowing me to experience the charm of nature. Furthermore, the scenery at Ginzan Onsen was picturesque, with babbling brooks and magnificent surrounding mountains that uplifted my spirits. Soaking my ankles in the outdoor hot spring and enjoying the comfortable warmth helped me forget the stresses of daily life. Overall, this trip not only allowed me to get up close with foxes but also immersed me in the beautiful natural scenery, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

we went on this private tour on April 12 and it was the best decision ever. there was only 5 of us including Ms Bing the tour guide and it was seriously so much fun. because it was a small group everything felt so personalized and we had many great conversations about our lives, special shoutout to the couple we met (Adrian)! we had lots of time to visit fox village and ginzan onsen and Ms Bing pretty much accompanied us the whole way through. she was super thoughtful and brought us to a special lunch spot before we went to Ginzan onsen - the hospitality at that family run restaurant was so memorable, food was also amazing, get the soba! anywho overall I reccomend this tour because smaller tours, you have more control of the time and it’s just more fun! the mini bus was also very comfy!!

Originally, the day tour required a minimum of three people, but because one of the members canceled, the guide didn't want to disappoint us, so they proceeded as planned, turning it into a private tour for just my husband and me. Although the only person accompanying us on the entire trip was a driver who only spoke Japanese, he enthusiastically translated everything for us, communicated with us using translation apps, and introduced us to many of Sendai's unique features. We are truly grateful to him! The fox village and Ginzan Onsen are worth a visit, and we are very fortunate that we chose this day tour and had a fulfilling and enjoyable day!

Had a wonderful day under the guidance of Ms. Abe, our tour guide. Today marks Sendai City's first heavy snowfall of the year. Ms. Abe waited for the group in the snow and wind. The group size was small and intimate, and we conveniently set off in a minibus. Visiting Zao Fox Village in the snowy season meant no unpleasant odors, and the foxes were very cute. Before arriving at Ginzan Onsen at lunchtime, Ms. Abe thoughtfully arranged for us to have lunch at a local restaurant along the way, with no waiting, a clean environment, and delicious food. We spent about an hour at Ginzan Onsen, just strolling and shopping, which was plenty of time. A very high-quality day trip that I highly recommend.

This was my first time joining a Klook tour alone, and I had a very good experience. The itinerary was well-paced with ample time. You can see many cute foxes at the Fox Village. Although the smell is a bit strong, they are still adorable. You can also buy feed to feed them at your own expense. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the timing to participate in the fox-holding session. Ginzan Onsen is quaint and charming. The autumn foliage and waterfall scenery were stunning. The tour guide, Ms. Cheng, was very enthusiastic and introduced the background culture/popular souvenirs, etc., of Sendai City and the attractions we visited. The tour bus was also very comfortable, and the itinerary was well-arranged. Highly recommended! 👍🏻

This day trip to Zao and Ginzan Onsen on 12/27 was fantastic! Special thanks to our attentive tour guide Vanessa and driver Mr. Endo from our [small group of 8]. They not only looked after everyone's well-being but also proactively helped us take photos, turned on the heat when they were concerned about us being cold, and provided impeccable service. They also chatted with us about food and souvenirs. It's a bit of a shame we couldn't hold the little fox due to time constraints, but the Ginzan Onsen streetscape and Zao's beautiful scenery were more than worth it. We were very lucky to encounter heavy snow in Ginzan Onsen; the scenery was beautiful. I recommend that if you want to enjoy a leisurely meal in the hot spring town, avoid the afternoon peak crowds; otherwise, the long queues will affect your itinerary and photo opportunities. Overall, a perfect experience! This trip was upgraded thanks to the professional and attentive tour guide and driver, leaving us with wonderful memories. I highly recommend this itinerary and team!

Miss Bin was very enthusiastic in explaining and leading the group atmosphere throughout the entire trip. Thank you very much for her company along the way! We got to visit every scenic spot on this whole trip, and it happened to be snowing, so the scenery along the way and the scenery on site were very beautiful. Highly recommended!! The lunch was also very delicious. I would also like to thank the driver, Mr. Sato, for his hard work in safely getting us to and from our destination.

I am really grateful to Teacher Cheng for sharing all kinds of interesting stories about Sendai with us. I highly recommend this itinerary. In addition to being able to see foxes of 6 colors up close, you can also experience feeding small animals in the fox village. In addition, I am very grateful to Teacher Cheng Cheng for taking us to Yamagata to eat at the delicious Food Color Youzen-Ume Restaurant. We really enjoyed the relaxing time in Ginzan Onsen. It seemed as if time had stopped here, and we experienced the so-called true Taisho romance.

The team leader Park Fairy has a very enthusiastic and dedicated service attitude. The itinerary time is very attentive. The itinerary is completed safely. My friends and I had an amazing time with our tour guide. Our guide was very nice and sweet, and she was very accommodating. We had forgotten to mention that we only speak English, not Japanese or Chinese. Even though there was a language barrier, she always tried to include us in her conversations. She would use Google Translate to provide us with information and help us take photos. She was very warm and sweet. We would definitely do this again.
