Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Having been discarded by Hollywood with the advent of “talkies”, legendary silent movie star Norma Desmond is tortured by her longing for a return to the big screen. When she meets struggling Hollywood screenwriter Joe Gillis in a dramatic chance encounter, their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship leads to an unforeseen and tragic conclusion.
Norma Desmond is one of musical theatre’s greatest roles and it requires a true legend to fill her shoes. Sarah Brightman is the iconic artist who originated the role of Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera both in the West End and on Broadway. Since then, she has become the world’s best-selling soprano, topping the charts across the world.
This historic theatre event marks her first theatrical role in almost three decades.

Had a wonderful experience. It is great that I was able to buy the tickets on klook during the uob resale, the tickets took a while to come but it was good seats.

Very user-friendly process for the purchase of tickets and seats allocated were satisfactory. Good crowd, enjoyable performance although there was certain episodes where we couldn’t made out the words when Sarah Brightman sang (muffled)
Fantastic venue at The Sands Theatre @MBS. Seats were comfortable with good leg room and the view from C reserve was excellent. Great value for SGD88. Sunset Boulevard itself was a great show with catchy music and unexpected plot twists. Amazing cast and orchestra. The sets and transitions are stunning and so well done. Would recommend!
Same storyline as the movie, expanded on the character development. Live orchestra, and live singing. Very worth it with the promotion.
