Very comfortable itinerary, suitable for all kinds of customers, elders or children can also have fun. The round-trip transportation time is short, the explanation is vivid, and the demonstration of DIY is carefully dried. Go out to sea in the break to feed the terns at close range. The lobster noodles for lunch are delicious, and the price is reasonable. There are also coffee and drinks that can be made first, which is very convenient. Unfortunately, the wind and waves are a little big, and the activities will be slightly adjusted. The fried DIY small rolls are delicious during the low tide. 🤤 The intertidal zone ecological tour also considerately prepares special shoes and gloves suitable for walking. Step on the water and turn over the stones to find various marine creatures, sea urchins, starfish, hermit crabs, etc., which is quite fun. The elders, who are nearly 80 years old, also had a lot of fun. Thank you to the staff during the trip, they are all very enthusiastic and kind. The elders also had a lot of fun.
I saw someone share their Yuanbei Island itinerary on Threads, highly recommending it for young children. I signed up with my 3-year-old daughter, and we had a fantastic time exploring the intertidal zone animals and later enjoying the water activities 😃. During the breaks, we could also go to the backyard to see the ducks and goats. If you have the energy, you can even walk around Yuanbei Island via the trail at the back, which I highly recommend! The only downside was that walking to the intertidal zone in water shoes was a bit too far, and my child complained a lot. A shuttle service might be better!
The itinerary was actually quite fulfilling, starting with a sea cruise, admiring the basalt landscape of the East China Sea and feeding terns. After arriving in Yuanbei, we went deep into the local landscape. The tour guide was a local Yuanbei and told many stories about Yuanbei’s early rise and local customs. You can have more noodles for lunch, so you don’t have to worry about not being full. During the ecological tour of Baodun and the intertidal zone, you can see many strange little creatures. The tour guide also introduces them vividly and interestingly. The experience is quite special. If you want to try a different island hopping itinerary, it is highly recommended.
Tour guide Qiu Shuai is very engaging; he made sure everyone had a great time and felt his attentiveness. We had a truly wonderful six hours on Yuanbei Island. If you're looking to enjoy a leisurely trip, this is the perfect place, especially for families with children to experience nature.
Qiu Shuai is humorous and engaging, and he puts a lot of effort into organizing activities, explaining things very thoroughly. The half-dried squid I made myself was delicious, and the lobster gnocchi was also very good. I highly recommend adding on the mantis shrimp; its meat is tender and sweet, comparable to lobster. If I get the chance, I'd love to experience the camping and BBQ on "Shua Fei Island" (Lazy Island) and truly relax.
It was a truly chill trip, and Coach Chiu was fantastic. He took great care of the elders in our group, and even managed to encourage (or maybe persuade 😂) my son, who wasn't initially keen on water activities, to try cliff jumping. Next time, I'd like to stay on the island for a few days and completely unwind.
It is a very leisurely and relaxing trip. You can stroll around the island, take a boat out to sea to fish, feed terns, and see the four treasures of the study and pleated skirts. You can also follow the tour guide to visit Yuanbei Island and climb to the highest point to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The tour guide's explanation was humorous and interesting, and the handmade day-old dried shrimps and lobster dumplings were delicious. A trip well worth taking.
We gained a deep understanding of the local culture and customs of Beihai. Our tour guide was engaging and professional, and the weather cleared up from a cloudy morning. The only minor drawback was that the oyster roasting schedule felt a bit rushed.
Highly recommend this tour! In the morning, you'll enjoy a hands-on dried squid making class, a village tour, fishing, and feeding seagulls. You can really feel the instructors' dedication as they passionately run activities on their home island. Especially the water activities, the value is incredible and super fun!
The experience of feeding the seagulls was very interesting and fun. Next time, if I have the chance to come again, experiencing the full-day itinerary should be even more enjoyable. It's highly recommended.
