Malacca Walking Tour: A Myriad of Memories & Marvels

The historical tour led by Mr Oliver was interesting and beneficial. He took his time to share with us the history behind every place, buildings, landscape and even the trees. We really understand the history in depth. We also enjoy the walk from the Dutch Sq Area to the Harmony St across the Melaka River. Mr Oliver is really passionate about sharing the history of melaka. We really recommend anyone coming down to Melaka to spend some time with this tour. Just a note, this tour involves lots of walking and going upstairs and down, so make sure you put on proper shoes and attire 😉

Mr Bernanrd Teng is wonderful! My goodness, he is polite and professional and has so much to share. We learned about the place, history, food, and culture from him. Director Teng is great, he speaks many languages and takes good care of children. He knows how to deal with children also, which is great for families. We hope to meet with him again! The tour guide is a Malaysian Chinese who speaks very good Mandarin. He introduced the history of Malacca very well. Recommended to those who are interested in history.

Tour guide Zhang is great! He provided a complete introduction to the historical context of this place, explained everything in detail with patience, flexibly adjusted the itinerary, and finally took us to lunch & shopping for local specialties.

The tour guide was excellent, providing a full English tour, but the guide also speaks Chinese. It's worthwhile for anyone who wants to learn about the history of Malacca.

The walk tour was attractions on the way: The places were worth going for tourists like us. itinerary: All the places were visited as advertised. Other places not shown in the advertisement were visited as well. guide: The guide was really great especially he was very friendly, patient and approachable. He really is knowledgeable about the history and places of Melaka. He talked about Melaka interestingly. group size: The group was not that big enough for tourists to raise any questions or concerns. We were 5 in the group (2 couples and 1 infant). breaks: There were enough breaks and time to recharge. The tour guide was so thoughtful to ask if we want to take a breather after every sites we went to.

Our guide Mr Low is very professional and knowledgeable about the Malacca history and local culture. I have learned so many historical things from him about the past and present Malacca. I had a wonderful time in Malacca because of this incredible guiding trip!

I recently took a local tour in Malacca, and the overall experience was excellent. The guide provided very detailed explanations, clearly outlining the historical background, multiculturalism, and urban development. They also supplemented the information with local anecdotes at appropriate times, which prevented the tour from just being a superficial overview. Even though English isn't my first language, I was generally able to keep up, and I understood the key points. The entire itinerary was well-organized, not too rushed, and the timing was well-managed.
