What to expect
The glorious landscape of the Uratomi Coast is your escapade in this wonderful day tour. Your first stop is the Uratomi Coast cruise. This incredible landscape is accredited and protected by UNESCO and is an idyllic paradise of blue seas and green cliffs. Next, head to the Tottori Sand Dunes. With a stop first for lunch at the Tottori Sand Dune Restaurant. After your scrumptiously fresh specialty seafood dishes, visit the dunes and the Sand Museum. From the beachscape of Uratomi, feel as though you have teleported into the rolling desert sands. The Sand Museum in particular has a thematic concept of “Traveling Around the World with Sand”, and you will be able to see intricately created sand statues and structures. Afterward, you will be able to unwind and take a break with a shopping excursion at Tottori's Tofu Chikuwa no Sato Chimura, where you can get tofu chikuwa, a unique type of protein roll. Return to Umeda full of great memories of the coast

Had a great day tour and such a unique day! It’s also a destination you wouldn’t expect from Japan landscaping. It is quite far from Osaka so you spend a bit of time on the road. Shame the weather wasn’t the best but it was a good mix of a cruise, lunch, sand dunes, sand museum and ending in pear picking! There could have been better communication channels with the tour guide (like setting up a WhatsApp group).
We went to a relatively remote location, spending about half the day, roughly six or seven hours, on the bus. By the end, I felt quite tired. The scenery at the scenic spot was beautiful, but the tour time was fairly average, not very long. We just got off the bus at each location for free time, then met back at the scheduled time to depart. The lunch was delicious and plentiful. I chose a Chinese-speaking tour guide, but they actually only spoke English and knew very little Chinese.
simple and chill itinerary to follow, the pears were juicy and big. unfortunately due to bad weather, we weren’t able to take the ferry, it was replaced by a short stopover at a view point and a gift.
The tour could have been better if the tour guide explain more. It feels like he is bringing us around the places rather than a tour. Overall it is still great as we get to see different places. Have to read about the history ourself.
The tour guide didn't explain much about the places we went. Would be great if the the tour guide can explain the history or origin of the place rather than just bringing us there to see.
We arrived on an okay day. But soon the rain took over. Mako, our guide did her best for what the day was. We started offf on a cruise, but the rain and waves were too much after a few minutes, we had to turn back for safety reasons. Mako, is mostly only Japanese speaking. she knows some English. But she used an iPad and called translators to help translate to English and Chinese for us patrons. Mako and the bus driver did a great job! This day, the rain took over. The dunes were wet and wild. The sand museum was inside, as well as the pear picking was covered. We were provided with a meal at the dunes stop. Even though the rain got us, it was a great experience.
The tour guide is professional, the explanation is very detailed, the service attitude is very good, many details are taken care of, and the driver is very good!
It was a lovely trip. There was plenty of free time.
Since it is more cost-effective than traveling independently, I went with a group. The sand dunes are worth going to. Although it rains heavily, you will be really shocked when you arrive! Be sure to climb up the sand dune to overlook the scenery, it’s spectacular!
The tour guide was very nice and easy going. she tried to please everyone and also managed everyone well at the same time.
Good to know
