The new landlady was the best!, genuinely caring and helpfull as were all the staff and locals. She even gave me a nice little goodbye this morning. She did everthing she could for a lady that broke down in her car last night

Fantastic Very pleasant welcoming staff great location for us as we were attending a party nearby. Pleasant and clean room and would use The Star again if we have to return to the area

Our stay was great.
The only disappointment was the shower. It wasn't very powerful and the temperature was unreliable.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly.
The continental breakfast was very good so it wasn't necessary to order additional cooked items.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Staff were lovely. Friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was very clean, well appointed and cosy. Bed was comfortable. Bar / restaurant offered excellent food and drinks both in the evening and next morning for breakfast. Continental Breakfast included in the price was more than sufficient for our needs. Hopefully we'll get another opportunity to stay there.

Friendly staff with great rooms and good food. Plus a perfect pint. You would have difficulty finding anywhere better to stay. Very quiet and peaceful village. First class. Thank you for the stay.

A lovely old countryside Inn which has been modernised to an excellent standard whilst maintaining the old features The bedrooms are of a good size with comfy beds and stylish ensuite with powerful shower The room we stayed in also had the added benefit of air conditioning which was welcoming indeed with the ouyside temps being over 30^c
Food service and all staff were excellent and all in all we found The Star to be a great place to stay
