As someone who’s stayed in this property more than 30 times, lately the service and general appeal of the hotel has gone seriously downhill. What used to be a consistent 5 star service experience now feels like the staff have lost all interest in service. The restaurant experience for dinner and breakfast used to be flawless. Now trying to attract the attention of staff for even the simplest request like getting water is near impossible as the staff just huddle in corners chatting to themselves. What used to be the best hotel breakfast in Dublin now has turned into a poorly stocked and rarely refreshed buffet, with glass jars of juices refreshed publicly with cartons of budget juice. The cleanliness of the rooms are so hit and miss but on this occasion, the overriding issue was the smell. I don’t know what the issue was - drains or something else but even with the windows open it always lingered in the background. Would I recommend it - it’s hard to say what experience you’re going to have but my general feeling is that the staff have given up or become complacent and you’re probably better off trying one of Dublin’s many other fine properties where the team still thinks about real hospitality.

Fantastic
The hotel was excellent very up to date and modern facilities. Room was large and comfortable Only negative was when I went to get a coffee refill and the machines needed maintenance, the queue got long, and by the time I got back to my table it had been cleared and been given away to someone else.

Great
Room was clean and quiet. Staff very helpful and polite. Breakfast was ok. Not a great selection if you’re gluten free but at least there was some choice! Would stay again.

Stayed here for two weeks for the World Dance Cup. It was an amazing hotel, great staff and very clean. Breakfast is wonderful and well worth it. Very quiet and would definitely stay again if needed.

The hotel front desk staff were fantastic. Kind welcoming and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The cafe staff were also really great. I would stay here again.

Stayed with kids

I rarely write negative reviews but this one just didn't sit well with me. My two kids and I stayed here for a couple of nights. The hotel itself was fine, clean & modern although a bit out of the way from the city center, but we knew that. The main issue was with dinner. My kids each ordered pizzas which were overcooked and bland, but I ordered the chicken parm that came out RAW! It wasn't until over half way through that I got to the raw bit even eating a bite which is how I noticed. I brought it to the staff's attention and just wanted the bill at this point. When the server brought the bill he said they gave me a discount on my meal of 5 euros for a 30 euro meal! Seriously!? For serving raw chicken?! Not even an apology. I tried to let it go, but it didn't sit well so I spoke with the front desk in case the restaurant wasn't associated with the hotel. It is in fact associated and the gentleman at the front desk only said, "Oh, well I'll talk to them about that" Again, not even a simple apology. You don't charge people for RAW chicken and you apologize for something that could get your guests sick. DO BETTER!
