A wonderful location and the property setting is breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful and an evening walk shouldn’t be missed. All the staff were helpful and made every effort to assist. Breakfast a little chaotic but again, staff were trying to help where they could. Our room was clean and comfortable and had all amenities we needed for a short stay. Public areas of the hotel were a little tired but those in the older part of the hotel were interesting and we could understand the wedding venue use. Our main gripe was about the poll. We had booked the hotel on the basis of the outdoor pool. We were disappointed as it is actually quite small (for the size of the hotel) and there were only three sun loungers that were immediately taken and kept by the same individuals all day. We felt pictures of the pool area provided led to incorrect assumptions about possible pool experience. No other areas were available for relaxing and sunbathing. There were wooden and rather uncomfortable tables and chairs on the patios that guests used, but these weren’t really suitable, especially as seat cushions were hard to find. Overall, a lovely venue, just in need of an uplift but not a place offering r&r round a pool.

Outstanding! An exceptional hotel, wonderful facilities, great food and most importantly incredible staff. Nothing was too much trouble to get and provide to us. Beautiful grounds well maintained and very peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely stay again.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever visited. The gardens are stunning and the surrounding woodland feels truly magical, with horses and deer nearby. The heated pool is a lovely touch, though the hours are limited. Breakfast was excellent—fresh and filling. I’d recommend booking lunch and dinner in advance as it gets busy. Reception staff were warm and welcoming; overall service was good, though a little more polish would make it exceptional.

My partner and I had a wonderful three-night stay at Rhinefield House for his birthday. The staff were all excellent - a special mention to Deborah at breakfast and afternoon tea, whose warmth and personality really stood out - but everyone we encountered was lovely. They also made a thoughtful effort to acknowledge my partner’s birthday, which we hadn’t expected and really appreciated. We were lucky with the weather, which meant we could properly enjoy the beautiful grounds, especially sitting by the pond - a real highlight of the stay. A couple of minor points of feedback. On the first morning we were woken at around 5.30am by a fairly loud, continuous noise, like a motor running. This did continue intermittently throughout the stay, including late at night and early mornings, although not quite as loud after the first instance. It wasn’t disruptive enough for us to request a room move, but worth noting. Secondly, the outdoor pool is open from 9am to 4pm. As we were out during the day, it would have been nice if it stayed open later. We did have a look while passing and it looked like it could do with a bit of attention - there were leaves in the water and it didn’t feel particularly inviting. Appreciate it’s early in the season, but a bit of upkeep here would go a long way. I mention these as constructive feedback rather than criticism, as overall we had a really lovely first stay. Thank you to the team - we would definitely return.

This was one of the most enjoyable stays I’ve experienced in recent years. The area of Brockenhurst is stunning and I’m very glad Rhinefield House Hotel was my base to explore it. The grounds were gorgeous and the staff were extremely conscientious and made the atmosphere. The breakfast made the perfect start to the day and I’d definitely visit again.
