A little out of the centre, but useful if heading to the rugby, the hotel is clean, and well maintained, and has all the basics needed for a one-night stopover.

It was just okay. Reviews on Expedia seemed solid enough to book, we weren’t looking for anything fancy, just clean and comfortable. Before arriving we noticed reviews on Trip Advisor were much worse and unfortunately somewhat spot on. The photos depict it as deceptively clean, modern, and updated. Up close it was pretty shabby and beat up. The tile in the showers looked filthy—it wasn’t, it just seriously needs new grout so it still felt a little icky. There was a tablet in the room sitting in a charging dock to control the room temp or request services that was totally dead and the dock didn’t seem to work. The tissue box in the bathroom had a single tissue left in it when we arrived. The rolls of toilet paper were very small and there was only one extra roll. After the room was cleaned the next day we weren’t given any more and had to ask the front desk. Someone came by a few minutes later and said their supplies were low and we were given boxes of tissues. The staff were pleasant but the overall atmosphere and state of the place just felt careless. It wasn’t the worst, but certainly wasn’t the best.

Good
Staff were very helpful and efficient. Room was clean. I'm surprised that Sheraton would want to put their name to ot though, it's tired and needs a makeover. The rear in particular is nasty, a small car park and behind the bin store is a big old generator that runs all night keeping anyone awake, and not pleasant to look at.
