Standard Double Room with Private Bathroom · 1 Adults · 20 Nights

This was my second time staying at the Chelsea inn. As usual, I had a lovely and amicable stay here. location was good, very close to everything! but again, it doesn’t have an elevator in the hotel so that’s a bummer. the room was quite spacious. and most importantly, the price was quite affordable for a decent place to stay in manhattan. would stay again!

I had a pleasant stay at the Chelsea Inn. It was located at a rather safe and nice area, close to 5th Avenue. I felt safe there. It was close to a subway station (18th street) too, so going uptown was easy. However, it seemed more like a hostel than a hotel tbh. The hotel was a “contact-less” hotel, so I only received the check-in information via email just the day before arrival. Also, cleanliness was worrisome. There were a lot of flies in my room, especially in the shower for some reason. It was quite gross. There were also no elevators in the hotel, so one might have to carry their suitcase upstairs to their room. Though frankly speaking, the price was really affordable for Manhattan. So you get what you pay for. I think it was fair.
