Couldn't get cheaper hotels in Knoxville. The only cheaper ones advertised by Klook are situated a bit way out. Most of the mid range hotels or motel chains situated in this area? We realised we need to use Lyft or Uber to get out of this "no public bus stop" zone. Took the shortest distance or price we could get (US$12 onwards) to get to Kroger ( a good big supermarket), in this case, in order to catch a KAT bus to anywhere; eg to Downtown Knoxville. Though my booking does not show breakfast included, staff open the lobby in the morning from 6 am ....so we managed to get hot coffee. Though during check-in, lobby is locked and no drinks could be had. Compared with the neighbouring Rodeway Inn nextdoor, this Motel 6 is better in my view. Rodeway Inn we stayed the next day has nothing in the way of refreshments though my booking came with breakfast stated! This is in great contrast with Motel 6 which allows us hot coffee in the lobby even though our booking stated no breakfast. So even a cup of coffee allowed by Motel 6 Knoxville East, makes a huge difference in my experience so therefore I recommend Motel 6 instead of Rodeway Inn ( which I had issues in my room such as shower spray and bottom tap spraying water together as the metal knob couldn't function at all to control direction of use, thus wasting precious water when bathing.
