Today, it has been refurbished into a Heritage Hotel with most of its Anglo-Malay architectural essence still intact.  1926 Heritage Hotel Penang occupies twenty four beautifully restored link houses along Jalan Imigresen in the heart of Jalan Burma. Georgetwon's heritage enclave, shopping and financial districts are nearby and the Penang International Airport is a mere 35 minute driva away. 1926 Heritage Hotel creates an atmosphere of nostalgia - a unique blend of Malay, India and English architectural influnces typical of the colonial era.   Rooms are pleasantly decorated and furnished, and some rooms come with private balconies. The hotel has 96 tastefully designed and affordable rooms with the elegance of yesteryears.
