FantasticSolo stay · For leisure
Fairly quiet area. My room on the third floor was nice and drafty. It had access to the wrap around balcony and rooftop staircase access. This is a family owned hotel and they provide several things, such as laundry service, breakfast, taxi service, paragliding, bungee jumping, short and long Himalaya trekking expeditions with guides and transportation to all locations. The prices for activities are comparable to other companies in Pokhara, but it seemed much more convenient to use Cherry Garden because you’re picked up and dropped off for all activities directly to and from the hotel. This hotel is right down the street from Lake Side and has many restaurants and shops a few minutes away. I really enjoyed my guide Chitra as he’s been a trekking guide for 20 years and knows the trails and timing between each village very well!

Below averageStayed with family
We were robbed when staying here. The whole top floor was and the owner didn't seem concerned about the event. There were no bars on the windows and the locks were extremely easy to break into. Someone came into our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. They need better security at this place! Lesson learned

GreatStayed with partner
We were only there to sleep and eat in the morning before our trek. We're able to leave our bags and owners got up earlier to provide us breakfast. Very nice and relaxing place.

Good Not sure why the place got such a high rating. But I never had a more shocking moment when the owner of the lodge barged into 2 separate dorm rooms of only girls at around 10.30pm at night, even though it's already lights out, just to ask if the few of us would need bus tickets and cab ride the next morning, he can get it for us. Not sure what the true intention is, but I was in my underwear sleeping when he barged in. Definitely less than a bad service for me, even though the owners made us breakfast (which is part of the stay which he denied at first until I showed him the booking) the next day, requesting that we put in a good review of the lodge.
The pictures are also not true reflection of the state of the rooms. You can definitely get better dorms and stay else where in Pokhara for similar price.
For your discretion.

Below average The rooms are cold, and the family wakes you up at 6:30am at least with banging and yelling. It feels like you're staying in a hostel, but way louder. The hot water is also nonexistent after 8:30pm as they turn it all off and you have to get your own toilet paper for the room. You also have to tell them if you come back past 11pm, or you will be locked out of the gates. It's a cute garden, but if you have the choice to go elsewhere, I personally would recommend to.
