Good The room was quite small with no windows. Probably that was because the staff member tried to find a room on the first floor. The property did not have an elevator and the staircase was so narrow and steep. I don't remember whether it was stated in the introduction of the property on Expedia website.

Good Not great but not the worst. Old facility with old beds and furnishings. Cheap place to stay for a night but anything more than that wouldn’t be my first choice. Also the staircase was precarious - steep and winding.

Great Rooms were clean. Especially the bathrooms. But the rooms felt old, like your grandmother‘s house. Not that that’s a bad thing. Parking can be tight, which may require you to park on the street or a block away. Didn’t do the breakfast.

Good Historical property that is slowly going through remodeling. Some parts of the hotel are dated . Great continental style breakfast included with expanded menu. Dining is cramped though!
Little more out of town so used uber and drive in both days . Overnight parking at hotel for 12 spots . Next visit to Portland we would stay downtown and pay the extra .
Lived our visit to Portland recommend Casco bay island visit ❤️

Good The hotel is old. It does have some charm and it’s nice to have water cooler, cookies, fruit downstairs in the lobby. Location is convenient- close to highway and walking distance from the old port. The sink in the bathroom was, probably, original from the times when people were much shorter. If you are average height, you’ll risk your head on a shelf when bending down to brush your teeth. We lost power when I tried to use a coffee mashing. On a good note, the room was very quiet and staff are very nice.

Great It is an older building what you lose in age you gain in character. The stairs can be challenging for older people no elevator available.
The bathroom ran out of toilet paper and when I called downstairs, I was told I had to come down three flights of stairs to get a roll of toilet paper because no one else was around.
We had a room with a shared bathroom, but it worked out just fine with the exception that some people left dirty towels on the floor
