Fantastic

Solo stay

My second time here and I really love the hotel, the room, amenities, staff and location. Little things kept it from being 10 out of 10. I am working while there and the internet is just average. Intermittent I had to use my phone as a hotspot to get work done. Little things also matter - filling up soaps, lotions and bathroom essentials - not a huge issue but a small thing I should not have to speak of - standard each day I think. It is a great hotel I will be back. Hoping these little things can be attended too.

Great hotel. It was exactly as described and what we were looking for. It’s a boutique hotel, very quaint and cozy.

It was a heatwave in the city, and the air conditioning in every room barely worked. They were very kind, and tried to help. They moved us multiple times trying to find a room with a consistent working AC and put fans in the rooms but it was pretty brutal. TV Remote didnt work either, had to have maintenance come fix it . Only one working elevator, took 5-8 minutes to go up or down every time. Staff wonderful.

The hotel was OK, but for the price level it does not hit the four or five star level. The location is the prime attraction here, very much in the center of Midtown near all the major spots. Rooms are very clean. The elevators can be slow. The hot water is good when it comes up to the proper heat level. Sometimes it took a while to get there. There is no place to plug in your electronics on one side of the bed. On the other side there is. They need more plugs, etc. No robes or slippers. No art on the walls of any kind. The coffee on the third floor is a nice amenity, but the milk used in the lattes and cappuccino may seem a bit off. The restaurant on site is very small and it’s a hit or miss proposition when it comes to quality. The staff is good, but does the bare minimum

There is a $250.00 - $269.00 DOG FEE, undisclosed on Hotels.com, undisclosed in the hotel listing, undisclosed on the receipt, or anywhere in the booking info. The hotel demanded this money upon arrival despite being listed as "dog friendly" ("pet friendly"). I was asked to pay, at check-in, $250.00, and because I had already paid, including "fees," non-refundable, I had no choice other than to find another hotel and lose my payment. The receipt lists "$35.00" + ~"$6" in "fees" on when you book. This $250-269 "fee" is not listed anywhere. This is NOT a "deposit"-- even though one of their documents lists it as such. Regardless of the cleanliness of your dog or the condition of this room, if you want to stay here, with a pet (in my case, 11 pound dog who is very well trained and made no messes), you will be forced to pay this fee (or go elsewhere). Some hotels do charge dog fees, but they 1. disclose them upfront (when you pay), 2. are never as high as $250.00 ($50-$75 in my experience, even at 5-star hotels) and 3. are sometimes an actual "deposit," which is refunded to your account if your stay does not cause any pet mess. The city view, from a floor in the teens, was beautiful. There are many lovely features of the room and hotel, but it is NOT "pet friendly." If you bring a dog, this hotel will extort $250 - 269 from you. Most other 4- and 5-star hotels will allow you and your dog to stay for the amount you actually pay when booking. Use one of them.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. Great size room for NYC. Large bathroom with shower and tub. Staff is very professional and go out of the way to help. Bar and restaurant are excellent with great service. Parking right at hotel is clean and affordable. We will be back and recommend highly.

Loved the cleanliness and the city views from up high were very good. Location excellent. The only downside is that it didn’t really feel like a hotel. It had a small bar, restaurant etc but no real feeling of a ‘centre’. Wasn’t a problem for us, but if you want somewhere with a bit more soul then look elsewhere
