Stayed with partner

The first room we checked into appeared to only have changed the bedsheets. Table, sink, and shower did not appear to be clean. But stuff was accommodating and moved us to a new room which was much better.

Great location for getting in and out of the city. Super reasonable rate. Only issue was it was super hot and the aircon smelled.

Very very basic, gives almost off hostel vibes, room tiny for 3 of us. Shower in bedroom so no privacy but fine for what we needed. Some things not in best repair such as decor, carpets, but the bedding and toilet were clean. No amenities such as a kettle, was ok to stay just for one brief night after a concert nearby. Did the job but wouldn’t stay again.

Great position. Staff were helpful. We had2 rooms and a 3 generation family and it was a perfect ‘pit stop’ for all of us. Can’t fault for the money, quiet, easy car park that’s a reasonable price for 24 hours. We will use it again.

It’s my first time using Ibis Budget hotels, I’d normally use Travelodge but they were dearer for the same dates. First impressions were, it’s very basic. Toilet was clean but in a cramped cupboard. Shower I’ve been describing it as the type you’d get in a static caravan, you know the all plastic enclosure but the water was high pressure and hot. The wash basin was in the main body of the room. Room had a double bed which was not bad to be fair but there’s no power socket near it. TV and power socket on the wall above small table. And a window, that opens, that has a good blind plus when closed not too much noise gets through. There’s air conditioning but I didn’t use it. No hot drink making facilities in the room but you could get a kettle from reception. Car park is limited spaces and currently £14 per 24h. I didn’t try breakfast, there are tea and coffee making facilities next to reception for free. The hotel served a purpose and it’s located next to a tram station, garage with shops, McDonald’s and Tesco Express close by.
