Fantastic Only here for one night for a performance at the Barbican Centre. This is a very well-situated hotel, close to the Tube (and gratefully the air conditioned Elizabeth line). The Barbican estate is an enjoyable walk from the hotel, and there are several good restaurants close by at mid-price points with great quality. The coffee machine was superb.

Fantastic I've stayed at Citadines Barbican several times. Some were one-day stays, others a week. I'm always happy a chose it. The location is excellent, the staff attentive and friendly, and the studios are comfortable. On my most recent visit, just for a day in London on my way to Cambridge, I was given an upgrade and allowed to check in early, which helped a lot after a long trip. Early on the morning I left, I used the laundry facilities, which are clean and easy to use. A staff member cheerfully left what he was doing to open the door after I'd locked myself out.
It is an easy walk to the Underground, and I walked to St. Paul's Cathedral and across the Millennium Bridge to visit Tate Modern.
At the end of my stay, I walked less than 10 minutes to Farringdon Station to head north. My arrival was equally convenient, having taking the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow.

Fantastic One of the best hotels I have stayed in recently. Good location right near the underground. Clean and tidy. Fridge and kitchette was a bonus.

FantasticStayed with partner
Amazing stay at Citadines, it was my partners birthday and he was left chocolates and sweets along with a free upgrade and early check in. Such a lovely touch that we weren’t expecting, all staff are very helpful. Free coffee from the reception all day was a lovely touch as well. Will definitely come back again thank you!

FantasticSolo stay
Had a great stay here for one night. The reception staff were lovely and checked me in hours before check in time and upgraded my room for free! The room was huge and had all the amenities including an iron/ironing board which is rare. It’s 5 mins from the underground too so really convenient location! Would stay here again!

GoodStayed with family
We reserved a room for three people, but when we arrived the third bed had not been made. The room was not properly cleaned, and we found pubic hair and a dead insect on the white duvet cover.
There were also not enough towels for three guests, and no sheets had been provided for the third bed. We had to call the front desk twice before the missing towels and bedding were finally delivered.
At check-in, we were informed that no housekeeping service would be provided during our stay, which was disappointing and had not been clearly communicated when we booked.
Our experience on the last night was equally frustrating. My daughter needed to record and submit an important college assignment. She asked if the lights in the lobby seating area could be turned on so she could record her video. The night-shift employee initially refused, saying she could not do it and did not want to bother the manager. Only after my daughter explained the urgency of the assignment did the employee contact the manager, who immediately approved turning on the lights. Even then, the employee repeatedly rushed her while she was trying to complete her work.
Overall, the lack of cleanliness, inadequate preparation for the number of guests, and poor customer service made this a disappointing stay.
