Beautiful but very loud. We were on 16th floor but the noise from wedding (?) was so loud/vibrating at time to go to bed.

GreatStayed with friends
Overall a great stay and many restaurants/bars to go to within. Went to the speakeasy and tap room and got some drinks and food. Room is huge, water pressure in shower amazing. There was at least two weddings going on each day/night I was there, but I did not hear a peep outside or in any of the surrounding rooms. Darkening curtains come down so you can sleep in. One thing to note: sign up for the free Omni account before you get there. You will automatically have the free WiFi and a complimentary drink. I did not know until after the fact and was not mentioned by the first receptionist I checked in with. The WiFi fee was easily taken off of my account by a different receptionist and he gave me my free welcome drink voucher that could be used for a wine or beer at one of the sit down restaurants or bars or you can get a drink at their coffee place. I got a cappuccino from the coffee place before I left and it was great. Another thing to note if you are looking for a nice view, the windows on the outside are really dirty so you can’t really see. My room had a great view out to PPG but you couldn’t see very well. Parking is either valet or there is conveniently a parking garage right in front as well. Overall a very good experience and would definitely recommend staying there. Very beautiful inside all around and if you wander you can get some cool glimpses of the history of the building

I didn’t like it at all. No parking. WiFi charges. The room was small with barely any furniture. The toilet was very loud and ran for a while. I hated it and left a day early

The hotel was in a great location down town. It had an upscale historic vibe…very Great Gatsby including a speakeasy inside. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary.

Below averageSolo stay
The Omni William Penn relies heavily on its historic charm and beautiful lobby, but the guest experience falls far short of what I’d expect from a luxury hotel. While the common areas are impressive, the rooms are outdated and in desperate need of renovation.
I stayed here the night before my wedding, and it was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. My room was noisy, making it difficult to rest before such an important day. There wasn’t even complimentary bottled water in the room—a basic amenity offered by many hotels.
The food was equally disappointing. The shrimp tasted microwaved and anything but fresh. After eating it, I experienced diarrhea for two days. While I can’t say for certain what caused it, the timing was concerning. The soft pretzel was soggy, barely cooked, and drenched in what tasted like artificial garlic spread.
To make matters worse, the vending machine on my floor was broken. When I searched for another, parts of the hotel felt vacant and unsettling.
As an executive assistant, I regularly book accommodations for executives, board members, and VIP guests visiting Pittsburgh, and I frequently exchange recommendations with a large network of administrative professionals. Based on this experience, I will not recommend the Omni William Penn and will instead direct my organization and peers to hotels that better deliver the quality and service expected of a luxury property.
