Fantastic

Solo stay

Very very small room, but lots of public space and hip, modern design. Excellent location with great access to all of London. No gym.

When booking this hotel, be sure to notice the difference between high floor and tower view. We thought we booked rooms with a view of Tower Bridge, but we ended up with one room on a high floor facing away from the Tower and on room on a low floor. We stayed during a heat wave in London and were surprised that the hotel has no AC, just ventilation. You can't assume a modern hotel will have AC. This hotel, like many others, has padded carpet in the hallways, making it difficult to roll luggage. On the bright side, the food was good and the staff were friendly.

There was an issue with room keys not working on the day of our check-in and one lift not working during our entire stay. We were told to get a drink at our cost in the bar and someone would be down to take us to our room and let us in. We had to ask a couple of times as to when we could get access to our room whilst watching the queue grow with other guests also now waiting to get access to their rooms. Eventually we were taken to our room by a member of staff who then could not open the door because her key did not work. We were then left standing in the hallway for 10-15 minutes waiting for her to return with another key to finally gain access to our room. One particular staff member on our last night was particular rude and confrontational and his manager did absolutely nothing to intervene. Overall the hotel was conveniently located, room was clean with good views. The rooftop bar had superb views of London.

Very nice hotel with great location for seeing the city. Elevator issues were a problem that taxed the staff but they certainly tried to minimize the impact.

tiny rooms for the price. Which is fine but their staff was terrible. I requested them multiple times during my 3 day stay to clean my room. They did not do it once!!! They offered me to replace my towels and then no one turned up! This was after I complained about their service. I am never coming back to their property and will recommend the same to my colleagues, team members, and friends.

Great

Solo stay

A few things could have personalized my visit a bit more. The self-check-in was nice but there was not an attendant available if needed. There also was no coffee/tea in the room. The view was stunning but not sure it was worth doubling my lodging fee for.

Good location & friendly staff, no tea or coffee in rooms, no housekeeping on a 2 night stay unless you ask at reception both of which I would expect at this price point. Forgot the lifts which were terrible and took forever.

Don’t book there if you expect warm weather. AC was poorly functioning and the room was too hot, at least for American standards. Had to stay in the lobby where the AC was better. There was also a bad sewer smell coming from the shower. I always stayed in this hotel when coming to London but I’ll need to find a better alternative.
