Fantastic 5.0
5-star strongly recommended! A huge thank you to our driver and guide, Master Chang Zhengjun, for this trip to Tibet. He has extensive experience driving on high-altitude mountain roads with steady driving skills, ensuring a smooth ride around curves. The vehicle was clean and tidy, and we felt completely safe throughout the entire journey. Master Chang is very familiar with Tibetan routes, local customs, and culture. His commentary along the way was vivid and engaging. He knows many hidden, picturesque photo spots, would proactively stop the car for us to take pictures, and paced the itinerary very well without ever rushing us. He constantly checked on our physical condition throughout the trip, repeatedly reminding us of altitude sickness precautions, thoughtfully monitoring our well-being, and proactively helping us carry our luggage. He is genuine and honest, with zero hidden fees or forced shopping throughout the tour, and patiently helped coordinate and resolve any issues we had. The snowy mountains and lakes along the way were breathtaking, but it was Master Chang's thoughtful and reliable service that made this trip to Tibet even more pleasant and fulfilling. If you come to Tibet, we strongly recommend choosing Master Chang Zhengjun!

Fantastic 5.0
We are so grateful that our first scenic tour of Tibet allowed us to meet Master Da Fu. Some of the roads were very rugged, but the master's driving skills were steady and he was very experienced. He even proactively took photos for us along the way, and to our surprise, he pointed out and told us about the small plateau animals we encountered, which truly enhanced our scenic tour of Tibet!

Fantastic 5.0
The itinerary was quite well-organized, and the hotel was booked according to our requests. They even upgraded our vehicle, which was stocked with oxygen tanks and water. Driver Gu also cleaned the car every day, keeping it spotless. We will definitely use Klook again next time.

Fantastic 5.0
We participated in a 4-person guided tour of the Potala Palace and were extremely satisfied. The Potala Palace is a place well worth visiting, with many ancient murals, cultural relics, and architecture. Our guide, Chen Hui, provided detailed explanations, allowing us to learn more about Tibetan culture and gain a lot of valuable insight.

What to know before visiting Lhasa

What to expect in Lhasa

This catalogue is led by Tours, which is the only category listed and therefore shapes most things to do in Lhasa; travellers will mainly choose between different guided tour options and price tiers. Demand peaks in August and July, while February is the quietest month, so expect the heaviest booking pressure in those summer months and the gentlest crowds in February. That rhythm means similar tour experiences remain available year-round, but crowds and demand-driven availability are highest in August and July.

How to choose what to book

The main decision is whether you prioritise cost or added comfort: Tours offer the widest spread, with an entry-level around PHP 32,825 and an upper-end around PHP 59,405, so you can find both budget and premium guided options. For filling itinerary gaps, Tours also serve as the most affordable way in—typical choices sit around PHP 37,225.

Shopping around gains value because the category’s range is broad, but if you prefer predictable pricing then expect little variety beyond the listed bands; mid-range choices are where inclusions and service levels vary most, so check what each tour actually offers before booking.

When travellers from the Philippines book

Most travellers tend to book about 19 days ahead, while the earliest planners book around 37 days out, so plan on booking one to four weeks before travel. This cushion matters most in August and July, when demand is highest and booking lead time helps secure preferred tour options.

How prices compare

The table below shows how Lhasa’s top category compares on typical price and the usual range, so you can place a budget before choosing.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Tours PHP 37,225 PHP 32,825 – PHP 59,405

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
