Fantastic 5.0
We had an amazing Scottish Highlands tour with our guide, Jack! Jack was incredibly funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. His fascinating stories about Scottish history, culture, and local traditions made the entire journey enjoyable, even during the long bus rides. The scenery at Glencoe, Glenfinnan Viaduct, and Loch Lomond was absolutely breathtaking. Jack’s great sense of humour and enthusiasm made this trip truly unforgettable. Thank you, Jack, for such a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

Fantastic 5.0
Our tourguide Callum is so impressive! He was a very safe driver, a podcaster, a DJ, and a tourguide all in 1 as he drove us through the highlands. While the weather was foggy and that meant that some of the scenery were not the clearest - that's also the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, is it not?;)

Fantastic 5.0
This "Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands Tour from Glasgow" deserves a full five stars! Our female driver and guide was amazing—she drove very smoothly and provided wonderful, informative commentary along the way. The itinerary was well-crafted, the highland scenery was breathtaking, and this is the furthest north I've ever traveled. The only tiny regret was not being able to take a boat cruise on Loch Ness; hopefully, they can include boat time in the future (it's totally fine to increase the price and return a bit later!). Overall, 100% satisfied and highly recommended!

Fantastic 5.0
The Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Stirling Castle Tour from Glasgow was honestly one of the best tours we had during the trip. The cruise, the scenery, the Scottish farm animals, and especially Stirling Castle made the experience unforgettable. Stirling Castle was full of history and gave a great insight into Scotland’s past and royal history, while the landscapes around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs were absolutely beautiful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, active, and helpful throughout the entire trip, and he kept everyone engaged the whole time. My only complaint is that the cruise and castle entrance fees were paid separately, and I wish they were included in the package. Other than that, the tour was amazing and highly recommended for anyone visiting Glasgow.

Our guide was Stephen who was fabulous. He obviously loves his home city and gave us a great rundown of some interesting places. Wonderful!

Fantastic 5.0
The guide maketh the trip! Scot D from Timberbush Tours was amazing. He is clearly passionate about Scotland and is highly well read and educated. Scot knew his history so well, and even choreographed when he would tell a story and the appropriate music to play at every moment. We are a family of four, with an Australian and Hong Kong background and two teenagers. We all enjoyed it. Scot (amazing how he drove, spoke, DJed and did everything by himself and all done safely and to perfection) followed the itinerary, but also managed to give us the freedom to vote where a choice had to be made. All in all, this tour is highly recommended. We booked our own accommodation at the Mercure at Inverness (on the “fun” side of Inverness) where the restaurants were buzzing. All good.

Great 4.0
There was a work being done in Queen Street so when we arrived at one of the bus stop it was closed and a very nice gentleman gave us the direction where to get City Sightseeing Bus. The driver was nice.

What to know before visiting Glasgow

What people book most and when to go

Glasgow City is most booked for guided Tours, followed by a small number of Attraction passes and Events & shows. Demand rises and falls through the year, peaking in May and dipping in January, so the busiest time for bookings is in May.

Best activities for families, couples and solo travellers

Families often pick Tours that offer structured sightseeing and storytelling, while Attraction passes provide a low-fuss, budget-friendly way to see multiple sights. Couples will enjoy the range of Events & shows for special evenings out and mid-range Tours for relaxed discovery. Solo and small-group travellers tend to favour Tours too, which are widely available and easy to join.

What travellers from the Philippines should book ahead

Most travellers staying about a week or longer tend to lock things in roughly nine days ahead, with the earliest planners booking around a month out; this matters most in the peak period of May. If your trip is shorter and you value flexibility, many options can still be booked a day or two before, but secure key Tours and popular Events in May early.

How the categories compare on price and who they suit

Attraction passes are the easiest, lowest-cost way in and are ideal for budget-conscious visitors wanting simple entry to multiple attractions. Tours sit at the higher end and represent the priciest median, suiting travellers who want guided experiences and are willing to pay more. Events & shows offer the widest range of prices and can work for budget to premium tastes depending on the performance or package chosen.
