Whether you're in town for a day or a week, the easiest, most convenient (and best value!) way to see the city is with the Vienna Pass. The pass gives you free access to over 70 top destinations in Vienna including museums, zoos, even the Imperial Palace, and that in itself is already a great deal! But there's more! With this pass, you also get unlimited rides on the hop on hop off sightseeing bus for the duration of your pass, and a free city guidebook that gives you information about the attractions, bus stop locations and more! You can even choose from four different length passes from one to six days, to perfectly customize your pass to whatever suits your itinerary. Pro tip: the pass also gives you fast track entry to some attractions and access to some exclusive discounts with partner merchants. You really can't go wrong with this one!
Really enjoyed Madame Tussauds in Vienna. Lots of personalities were featured inside the wax museum, and there were props beside some wax figures that goes really well when taking photos. Don't miss the great feature on Sisi and Franz Joseph. The museum is inside the Prater so it is easy to spot when you are inside the Prater.
Well worth it! Besides the savings it offers if you want to visit multiple museums and sights, the Vienna pass also makes traveling on public transport super easy as it covers this as well. Much easier than trying to buy tickets for individual trips. It also gives you access to the hop on hop off his which is very useful.
Got the 1 day Vienna Pass and added the travel card online. Tried to collect my pass from the office opposite the Opera House but was informed that I could only collect the passes from the office near the underground metro.
Loved the Vienna Pass as it allowed for free access to a huge number of attractions and priority access to skip the queues. Did not utilize the hop-on-hop-off bus but made full use of the public transport covered by the travel card. Went to the Schönbrunn Palace, Schönbrunn Zoo, Apple Strudel show, Technology Museum, Imperial Palace / Sisi Museum (Horfburg), Time Travel, Vienna Prater / Ferris Wheel and Donauturm (Danube Tower).
This is definitely value of money. I bought the Vienna pass with the travel card. It was easy to redeem and when you get the pass, a detailed brochures and a map will be provided. You will know exactly where to go with which stops of the hop on hop off buses. Basically I didn’t have to worry about buying tickets travelling between places that I wanna visit. The hop on hop off buses are great and it even covers the Ferris wheel and the Danube cruise. Highly recommend this!
We took a one day pass and it was value for money since we went to 10 places (all free entries with the pass)! If you only have one day like us, plan your choiced destinations well and start as early as 9am with the first museum that is opened. I highly recommend that you end your evening with the Schlumberger Sparkling Wine Cellar on the green line. The hop on hop off bus will take you up to a breathtaking panoramic view of the city from Kahlenberg. Take note of the last bus departing from the city centre or you'll miss this awesome view from the top. Vienna pass is very easy to use and highly recommended!
The Vienna PASS made planning our quick stay in Vienna a whole lot easier. With one pass, we enjoyed access (and sometimes fast track entry too) to the top tourist destinations. We particularly enjoyed the hop-on hop-off bus, which was a great way to explore the city when it gets too tiring (or too cold / hot) on foot. It's definitely worth every penny!
