What people are saying about Aquariums in Melbourne
Melbourne SEALIFE Aquarium was awesome. Besides viewing a variety of amazing aquatic animals, it was extremely informative. We enjoyed viewing all the marine creatures up close. Our favourite was the penguins. The Penguin Playground was simply wonderful. The saltwater croc, Pinjara, looked simply majestic and terrifying. The Oceanarium is also amazing - we have never seen Rays so huge and swift.
Most aquariums work on the same principle: to educate people about the life beneath the waves and to share the fun of these knowledges regardless of gender and age. In Melbourne Sealife, beside the fishes and the penguins, there is a 3D show that mesmerizes and takes out the laughter from all its viewers. It is only a 10-minutes show but the fun and enjoyment it gives are limitless. It is truly spellbinding.
Good day out but would recommend getting there early during school holidays. Enjoyed our trip here. Not a huge place but enough to see and the penguin display/feeding shows are cool. Would definitely recommend this as something to do when in Melbourne. Rangers and staff very helpful, interesting and educational shows. The gift shop was large and had a variety of items.
Didn’t manage to visit Legoland Discovery Centre as my child fell sick. 2 days later we went to the aquarium. Melbourne’s version is a lot more kiddish than Singapore’s but the penguins at the end make up for everything. Also many interactive stations scattered around the place but more suitable for younger kids.
With the e-ticket, I could bypass the long queue at ticket centre. Price in Klook is much cheaper than the aquarium official website as well!
The aquarium is not big but already lots of things to see. There are a lots of penguins and two 4Dmovies show at alternating intervals. Good activity in Melbourne!
this combo is well worth it. While you are out visiting legoland at Chadstone shopping mall you also get the opportunity to shop.
Legoland not only had lego to create with,
there were rides and a cinema.
The aquarium was over 3 levels, many fish, sharks, penguins, jelly fish, and a croc. The aquarium is well worth a look
